Reliable, Gentle, Loving Pet Care When You Need It
Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Emily, I'm 29 and I’ve always been an animal lover and have raised two dogs from puppies — a cheeky little Cavapoo and a bouncy gundog Labrador. I’ve also cared for a big, soft-hearted Rottweiler who loved his cuddles just as much as his walks! During COVID, I helped out my vulnerable neighbours by walking their dogs, which gave me the chance to bond with all sorts of lovely pups. I’m gentle, patient, and always treat every dog like they’re my own — whether they’re a playful puppy or a slower-paced senior.

Reviews
Why is Emily the perfect person to look after your precious fur baby? With her big heart, gentle nature, and love for all creatures, Emily will make sure your pet feels safe and loved while you’re away. Emily will treat your furry friend like her own, so you can relax knowing they are in the best hands (and getting plenty of belly rubs). If you're looking for someone to take care of your pet, look no further than Emily.
Emily is an excellent animal carer. She adores animals and they respond accordingly. Emily has looked after my dog and my cats on several occasions. She is kind and patient with them and they feel very comfortable and confident around her.
Emily is a very responsible young lady, especially around animals. In the process of completing a degree at Bournemouth university which involved wildlife conservation, as well as volunteering in Bali to build reefs from recycled materials. I would have no doubt Emily would be an excellent choice to be a pet caregiver.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a cosy, open-plan ground-floor apartment with a fully secure balcony, and there’s lots of grassy space right outside for regular walks and toilet breaks — I take pets out at least every hour to avoid any accidents! I have an adopted cat called Pebbles — he’s a big softie, half Maine Coon and half Tabby, and he’s brilliant with all kinds of animals. That said, he spends most of his time outdoors lounging on the driveway or in the bushes, so he’s rarely in the way. I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family — they’re welcome on the sofa and even the bed for cuddles (if you’re happy with that!). With your blessing, I’ll happily spoil them with treats, play with their favourite toys, and stick closely to their usual routine so they feel totally at home. Whether I’m caring for them in my home or yours, their comfort, safety, and happiness always come first.

Information Emily D. would like to know about your pet
It’s really helpful for me to know as much as possible about your pet’s routine, personality, and needs before they come to stay — the more detail, the better! Please let me know about any medical conditions, special requirements, or behaviours like nervousness, reactivity, or separation anxiety. I’m also happy to follow your pet’s usual schedule, including feeding times, walk routines, house rules, and favourite comforts like toys or blankets. One important note: I live in a Victorian-style apartment where the walls are quite thin, so I’m unable to host dogs that bark excessively. A little noise is no problem — but for the comfort of my neighbours (and your pet’s own wellbeing), it’s best if they’re generally calm indoors. For added peace of mind, my home is equipped with a Ring doorbell and indoor security camera, along with motion sensor lights surrounding the property. I’m also fortunate to have very kind neighbours who look out for everyone’s well-being, creating a safe and supportive community. I’m more than happy to offer trial visits or meet-and-greets so we can make sure everyone feels comfortable before a longer stay — just let me know what works best for you and your furbaby!
A typical day
My day usually starts early, around 5:30–6:00am, when I feed my cat Pebbles and open up the windows and French doors to let in the fresh air. This also gives Pebbles — and any pets I’m looking after — free access to my secure, enclosed balcony, where they can safely enjoy the morning sounds and smells. While Pebbles tends to head straight outside to lounge in the garden or explore the bushes, I get on with some light chores and start the day gently, always keeping an eye on any furry guests. Throughout the day, I’m usually pottering around my flat, which means your pet will never be left alone as my flat is open plan. I’ll follow their normal routine closely — from meal times and walks to rest breaks and play sessions. Whether it’s a fun game with their favourite toy, a quiet cuddle on the sofa, or regular outdoor trips (at least once every hour for dogs!), I tailor the day to their personality and needs. With plenty of love, fresh air, and calm energy, my home offers a peaceful and caring environment where your pet can feel totally at ease.

Availability
I’m currently completing my university degree, so I spend most of my time at home and have a lot of flexibility in my routine. I’ll be starting a part-time job soon, but I still have plenty of availability, and I’m always happy to work around your pet’s needs. I’m available for last-minute bookings, evenings, and weekends with no problem at all. I’m also confident in giving medication if needed, whether it’s tablets, drops, or special care. Your pet’s comfort and well-being always come first with me! I’m very adaptable and will always make sure your pet feels loved and cared for.
