Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Emily and I'm making a return back to Rover after taking a couple years off, but now I'm excited to hopefully get back into some dog sitting/walking, and drop ins when I can! :) A little about me.. I've worked/ volunteered in both MA & NC animal shelters starting from a young age.. then after graduating college, I actually worked at another shelter full time & had a short run as a Petsmart dog trainer just teaching in store basic classes / puppy socialization. I would foster senior dogs or dogs who needed extra care and comfortable with seniors / meds (no injection experience though only oral meds). I love dogs & not having a dog right now is hard so I'm coming back to hopefully get some more dog time in my life when I can! And I'm here to help YOU and your dog, so whether it's being their buddy on the couch or going for a 4 mile walk, I'm happy to do it! Just let me know what you/ your dog's needs are.

Emily was great! On time, thorough report cards, great communication and very friendly!
Emily was fantastic! She took the time to set up a “play date” so we could meet her / she could meet Charlie. He is shy and needs time to get used to people he doesn’t know. We knew instantly upon meeting that she would be a great choice! She stayed with him in our home for 2 nights / 3 days. I felt so comfortable and knew Charlie was in good hands. She sent us photos and videos so we knew what he was up to. I think Charlie was a bit sad when she left! We highly recommend Emily!

I'd say most comfortable or accustomed to working with large /XL breeds, as they are most familiar to me and grew up with them. But there's no breed or personality im scared of! The shelter world showed me that breed/ age/ size doesnt mean they'll be "good" or "bad" or "easy". Every dog is different and has different needs.
A typical day
I love to walk, hike, play fetch, tug, or do some enrichment toys or puzzles if they enjoy some mental stimulation as well :) I'm up for anything! Treats, toys, walks you name it.
