This means I have ample availability for pet sitting, including last-minute requests for walks or home visits. Please let me know if your pet has any special needs or quirks that I need to be aware of before building a relationship with your animal. Especially what protocols you have around treats (allergies?), injuries, or behaviours that might be good to know.
A typical day
We will make sure they get their energy out in the beautiful nature the Kootenays has to offer! Mountains, forests, or even a long walk on the rail trail. I only live a block away from the rail trail in Nelson. I also have a truck so if you’re into it, I could take your pup to higher sights! I also love walking along the lakeside and the big parks for throwing a ball. Also have you seen the cemetery in fall?! So much to explore and see here! It’s all really in what you want for your little pup. As for at home sitting, I am into meeting your pet where they are at. I love to play with cat toys and and also get snuggles. Sometimes I put the fish game on my laptop for the cats which they LOVE if you haven’t tried.

Pet care experience
I have always cherished a profound and sacred connection with animals throughout my entire life. I had a very close relationship with my three pit bull labs growing up. Wherever I go, I find myself forming deep bonds with the animals around me, even though it's been a while since I've had a pet of my own. You might recognize me as that person at the dog park, striking up conversations with every pup that passes by. While I've always yearned to have an animal companion of my own, I believe it's crucial to provide them with the perfect environment for a fulfilling life. Unfortunately, my current rental doesn't permit pets. This is where you and your beloved pet come into the picture. It would be an absolute honor for me to spend time with your furry friend, embarking on adventurous journeys together. As an avid mushroom hunter and hiker for most of the year, I guarantee that our forest explorations will be nothing short of extraordinary. Plus, being relatively new to Nelson, I am eager to discover new sights and experiences the Koots has to offer. Caring for animals is second nature to me, and I have a wealth of experience in pet-sitting with positive reviews from their owners (which I'd be happy to share with you). Since relocating here, I've been entrusted with the care of my friends' pets during house sits, and I regularly tend to the animals at my partner's home. With my current work schedule allowing for flexibility, I have ample availability, even for last-minute requests for walks or home visits. Your pet's well-being and happiness are of utmost importance to me, and I'm eager to be their trusted companion. I hope to also build my reputation on Rover with your help.

Emerencz has taken care of my dog on a number of occasions, and couldn't have done a better job. It is such a relief never to have to worry about my dog knowing that she is in capable hands. They are reliable, punctual, and practical and my dog loves spending time with them. I would highly recommend them. They have also cared for my neighbors dogs, cat, and bird all at the same time and did an excellent job.
I live in a shared house with 5 animals and they all love Emerencz more than their actual owners. Emerencz takes care of them when we go away or if we need the dogs walked while we are at work. I would highly recommend Em to anyone who wants a responsible, genuine animal lover to care for their creatures.
Emerencz has been our primary caregiver for our Dog Luna, cat Mimi, and our Bird. We have done extended trips for over 10-14 days with Emerencz being responsible for walks, medication admin, and helping entertain all 3 animals in our home. They have been the cleanest guest we have ever come stay in our home so far. Luna loves Emerencz so much that when they come over she just wants to be with them. We fully endorse Emerencz to take care of your pets.
Emerencz has been taking care of my chihuahua Diego for the last 4-5 years and Diego is 8. He is picky about who he loves but we call emerencz dad. They are a lovey queer person who is great with animals!
