I can't have dogs in my home since my dog doesn't always get along with others. He does great with cats, though, and has lived with 4 without issue. So I'm happy to host a cat as long as the cat is alright with dogs! My dog is very wary of cats and mostly just ignores them. I have multiple rooms in my apartment and would separate them when I'm away just as a precaution. I am happy to do home visits and have reliable transportation for such, but I would prefer not to do overnight stays so that my dog isn't alone :)

I prefer dogs that are well trained and would like to know if they have any triggers (certain places they don’t like to be pet, certain animals they will chase after, etc.) and if they have any favorite things. I’d also like to know if there is anything they are not allowed to do so that I can reinforce home rules.
A typical day
I love going for walks or playing fetch in the yard! I'm also very happy to sit inside with them if they're not big fans of the outside. We can practice tricks or snuggle and get pets!

I have owned lots of animals in my 30 years of life and currently have one very special 9yo mutt who is my world. I have experience with medical issues and am comfortable giving medications and caring for ill, injured or aging animals. I am also an avid walker! I adore kitties and am not bothered by the spicy ones. I had several cats growing up and have lived with or sat many more as an adult.

From the moment I met her, it was obvious how much she genuinely loves and cares for all animals, not just as pets, but as members of the family. What stood out most to me was how much she treated my kitty, Bramble, as if he were her own.
