Pet care experience
Welcome to Our Home Away from Home for Dogs! 🐾🏡 Since July 2022, my dog Willow and I have been providing top-notch dog boarding and daycare for the Comox community. With certification in Canine First Aid and CPR, your pup’s safety and well-being are always our top priority! Dogs are our passion, and we’re dedicated to making sure your furry friends have an amazing time while feeling safe and at home. We have experience caring for all kinds of pups, including seniors and those with special needs. While we keep our group small for a cozy, stress-free environment, we do have barriers in place to manage energy levels. If your pup prefers a solo retreat, we may not be the best fit. And while the occasional “door alert” is totally normal, excessive barking can disrupt the group (and our neighbors), so we aren’t able to accommodate persistent barkers. Our large, fenced yard is a paradise for playtime! Willow, our resident pup, is a social butterfly who welcomes every visitor and even helps shyer dogs feel comfortable and included. She’s got a great sense of boundaries and is excellent at showing newcomers the ropes. 🐶 Booking Alert! 🐶 We’re gearing up for a busy summer and spots fill up fast! We operate on a first-come, first-served basis, so don’t wait too long to secure your pup’s stay. We can’t wait to welcome your furry family member! 🐾✨ We have a large fenced yard that is perfect for pups to run around freely. Our dog Willow gets along with all dogs and is even known to get dogs who are usually less social to join in the fun. She has a great sense of boundaries and is good at showing other dogs the ropes. We are very busy this summer and we work on a first come first serve basis. Don't wait until the last minute to book, we fill up pretty quick!

Sometimes, dogs enjoy a little downtime, so we separate them for naps using baby gates in different areas of the house. This setup works best for pups who respect boundaries. We also have a fully enclosed backyard, giving dogs plenty of space to explore and play safely. During the summer months, I like to keep the back door open so they can come and go as they please while I work in my office. However, if your dog is a fence-climber or a deck-digger, this may not be the best fit. Escape attempts can happen in the blink of an eye (trust me, I’ve seen it!), and it’s stressful for both the dog and me. Please be honest about your pup’s habits so we can ensure a safe and happy experience for everyone! 🐾😊

Information Diana M. would like to know about your pet
Please fill out your dog’s profile with as much detail as possible—I refer to it daily, and it’s the best way to keep track of individual needs, especially when we have multiple visitors. Important details to include: allergies, anxieties, daily exercise routine, off-leash reliability, and whether they can enjoy some free running at the dog park. If your pup takes medication, has food or toy guarding tendencies, or anything else I should know, please be honest! I don’t discriminate against these things—in fact, the more I know, the better I can create a safe, stress-free environment for everyone. 🐶💛 If this is your first time booking through Rover, please let us know and we will send you a discount code!
A typical day
Our large fenced yard is perfect for running, playing, and splashing in the kiddie pool on hot days! Just around the corner, we have a fantastic park for ball games, and for water-loving, off-leash pros, weekend beach trips are a favorite for swimming and water frisbee. While I do my best to keep the dogs entertained, some workdays can be a bit hectic. I appreciate your understanding that not every day is a full-blown circus—but I always make up for it with walks, playtime, toys, and plenty of cuddles! 🐾 Important Note: If your dog is allowed off-leash, please specify this in their profile along with their best recall method. I frequently refer to profiles for these details, and if it’s not there, I won’t know or remember.

I work from home as a visual effects animator for the Hollywood film industry, which means I’m lucky to have the flexibility to supervise the dogs as they play throughout the day. To ensure a great fit for everyone, we require a meet-and-greet for every booking. Unfortunately, due to past experiences, we aren’t able to accept dogs we haven’t met in advance. This helps us create a safe, happy, and stress-free environment for all our furry guests! 🐾 Please note that we do have a personal routine as this is our home and we do not accept pick ups after 8pm. If you book us for the day, you will have to do it before that time or the next day and pay for a boarding. One daycare is $35/day for 8 hours. Anything beyond 8 hours will be charged as $41/day, $46 for puppies. For un-spayed/un-neutered dogs we do ask for $15 extra per boarding night and $10 extra per daycare.
