I've lived with dogs my whole life, as well as cats later into my teenage years and I just love pets so much. They are the purest creatures out there. I don't know why I didn't sign up for Rover sooner! I will be working to buy my dogs more toys and treats!

As of right now, I am working on training my own dogs. So they require a little more attention as they are shelter dogs but I love them so much. At a clients home, I will definitely see what kind of personality they have, and determine how to move forward. If they need more guidance, I will definitely use more treats to give them a little nudge in the right direction. Or if you're doggy wants to chill out and relax, I'll sit there with them. Making sure that they get pet if they want that. And if I need to give them space, I'll make sure I stay nearby to show them I am there for them!

Derek was great with my two German Shepherds! I have two older, German shepherds who are rescues-one has had separation anxiety in the past and the other needs daily medications. Derek was available on short notice and came over to meet them before staying at our place for three days. He sent regular updates and photos while we were away, and was very good at communicating. I could tell my dogs were at ease with him which gave me so much peace of mind! Would definitely recommend Derek!

Derek went above and beyond with my dog on a drizzly afternoon. He played with him when they got ho e and I came home to a tired happy pup!
Derek has owned nine dogs and six cats throughout his life. He is very attentive and caring. He has experience with food aggressive dogs and dogs who have difficulty walking on a leash. He is very patient with dogs who may need extra training. He can easily read the body language of dogs and cats in order to fulfill their needs appropriately. I personally have two fur babies with Derek and I would highly recommend him as he absolutely loves dogs and cats!

Schedule
As of right now, I recently got hired at Culinary Care Chicago, and only have requirements from 11-1 on weekdays, and so working around that time frame is my top priority. But because I work freelance work such as UberEATS and Doordash, my schedule is real flexible. So just send me a message and we'll see if it can work out!
