Home from home care
My wife and I are both retired and have been caring for a wide range of dogs with Rover for a number of years. We live in a quiet adult only non smoking bungalow with a large fenced rear garden which dogs have full access to. We aim to provide a home from home environment and stick to your dog’s usual routine as we feel this helps them settle and are happy to allow dogs on the furniture and the bed if you allow it. We live within easy walking distance of Portobello beach and a few dog friendly park areas and have a car for adventures further afield.For safety we have crates and dog seat belts. We only accept one dog at a time but are happy to accept two dogs from the same household.

Another great holiday in Portobello for Waffle. He thinks Derek and Angela are family now and they treat him like he’s theirs. He had a busy week out and about with them and came home a super happy dog.
Thank you for having Kaya & Kimi! 1st time at daycare so it was nerve-wracking for the pups and us dog parents. Videos and photos throughout the day really put us at ease.
Derek and Angela were fabulous dog sitters for our lab. They sent regular updates of him eating, playing, walking and relaxing which made us feel at ease while on holiday, knowing he was being well looked after. Would definitely choose Derek and Angela again!
Our two dogs had their first sleepover here (previously daycare) and it went well. We got lots of photos and videos of their walks and fun in the house. So glad we have found Derek and Angela!
Another great holiday in Portobello with his favourites. As ever, zero worries knowing he’s being looked after like a king by Derek and Angela. Waffle always comes back a super happy dog that’s just had a brilliant holiday (which he has).
Another successful daycare for our two dogs. They were happy and relaxed and we are booked in again for an overnight stay.
