Our family has always taken in dogs from people who could no longer take care of them. In our household, the kids were respondible for taking care of the pets and so from a young age I learned to handle doggies. At the moment I have my own dog Dara for 10 years. Our fully vaccinated dog sitting team consits of; 1. Dara - 10 yr old Dachshund/Lab mix lady. Dara is great with other dogs, except for very energetic larger dogs. Dara has a lot of energy but also like to cuddle in the sunrays with her furry stayover guests. 2. Dennis - 41 yr old purebred human male. I have had family dogs all my life and in our household the kids were mostly responsible for taking care of the pets. Also I have dogsat up to 20 times for friends' dogs, sometimes up to 3 dogs. However 2 is the max. amount of doggies I can take on. Dara and I have lived together for 10 years in several countries and she normally had lots of doggy friends around for Dara to socialize with. Now I live back in the Netherlands and I find that Dara needs some company now and then. That made me decide it would be nice to dogsit in order to give Dara some company now and then. I work permanently from home and take long walks but we can adjust to our guests. We will accept regulars on a daily base but also long staying guests. The dogsitting would happen at my 3-room apartment in Diemen Noord with a large balcony with sun. We live in a 'polder', meaning its surrounded by nature and water. We would only accept vaccinated doggos. Larger dogs over 15kg that are very energetic are not a great match for Dara, however Dara sometimes stays with my family. So if the timing is right larger energetic dogs can be accepted. In regards with my neighbours, we cannot accept dogs that constantly bark or howl unfortunately.
