I prefer a meet and greet first to outline eating schedules, activity level, special requests, behavioral patterns, and ensure your pet and I have great chemistry. I’m happy to stay with your dog or cat most of the time you’re away, and like to run through of any routines you’d like them to stick with, as well as triggers, sensitivities, or preferences. I usually provide an update twice a day with pictures and/or videos.

If you can provide what they like, triggers, house rules or any preferences that would help a lot. For example, if they dislike certain places or other people/dogs, and if they need medicine or healthcare, if they’re allowed on furniture, how much food to feed them, etc. I’m also happy to apply any training routine or rules you’re working on.
A typical day
I like taking dogs for walks in the neighborhood, along the Strand or Greenbelt, and other dog-friendly areas. I don’t take dogs off-leash that are not my own, but am happy to let them on a loose leash. I can feed them, refill their water, or support other special requests. If your dog is training, I’m happy to apply the commands you are working on with your trainer.

Hello! I'm a animal lover with over 18 years of experience handling a variety of dogs and cats. I'm from the Bay Area, went to USC, and dedicate my time to playing and caring for pets when I'm not working 9-5. I’ve cared for three of my own family dogs, and fostered several breeds. I understand the various needs your pup has from puppyhood to seniorhood. I am comfortable with dogs of different sizes, having watched breeds from dachshunds to golden retrievers, to various mixes. I will take great care of your furry friend as if they’re my own, and am more than happy to accommodate by any special requests or needs. Feel free to contact me with questions and requests! If you are working on training commands, I’m happy to oblige with your routine and apply practice on walks. However, please note I am not a dog trainer. I’m available mostly in El Porto and Manhattan Beach.

Denise was absolutely wonderful. We had booked her last minute as we wanted to have a beach day and were lucky she was available. She was extremely accommodating and flexible with our arrival and even watched Ruxbin a little longer than originally planned so we could go out to dinner. She was extremely communicative throughout and sent updates and photos. Ruxbin immediately felt comfortable with her.
Denise is so sweet and caring, our dog enjoyed staying with her so much! It was raining, and Denise was both flexible with our schedule and patient with our dog (who prefers sun lol). She took him on walks and sent us really cute photos which reassured us that he was comfortable and in good care. Thank you, Denise!
