Pet care experience

Experienced with all breeds & sizes

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been surrounded by animals. We lived in a farm and I was always taking care of the cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, rabbits.. ect.. You name it. Over the years, I have volunteered at different local rescues, SPCA and worked at an veterinarian practice . I also foster dogs whenever I’m able. I truly love animals. It doesn’t matter if it’s my dog, a foster dog or a clients dog. They will be cared for and loved as long as they are in my care. My house is full of animal lovers too. We decided to join Rover after was so panicked about where our dogs would go while we were on a family vacation. We usually bring them with us, but this time, it wasn’t possible. I didn’t want them to go to a kennel, where they would be on concrete runs 24/7 and not staffed at night. I came very close to staying home while everyone else went. We finally found care for them in our home. I want to help others who feel the same way I did. I not only want you to enjoy a stress-free vacation, but i also want your furbabies to have their own vacation too. We go on daily pack walks and we have over a 1/2 acre fenced in for playtime or just relaxing. During summer months, we have a dog pool and sprinkler play. We have a separate room that can be utilized for dogs that like a little down time (available if we do not have a current foster) Complete with big fluffy beds, 70 inch TV (complete with DogTV) toys and a comfy couch. Otherwise , we have dog beds scattered thought the house. I will also provide pictures and updates as frequently as you’d like. Whether you have a puppy or a 15 year old senior (my favorites!) we have the experience and the love. I’m home almost all day, 7 days a week. If I need to run out for a quick errand, there will always be someone here. My husband has K9 military and police training experience as well and my son has also volunteered at local animal rescues. We have a fenced in secure yard with 2 happy dogs available to play anytime. We also have a quiet room for dogs that need or want a little R&R time away. We also have crates available for those who feel more comfortable with utilizing them. Whether laying outside soaking up,the sun or watching TV curled up on the couch, We want YOUR dog to feel happy, safe and loved while in our care.

Deanna was great as usual. She took good care of my dog while I was away and shared snapshots of him every day. Recommended

Deanna saved my day. At the last minute, I had no one to take Goblin off my hands for a few hours while a cleaning crew extermination came to my home. It was recommended that he should not be in the house while they spray pesticides. I think it was 2 a.m. or so in the morning, I went to Rover to find someone who could take care of my love until the extermination crew finished. To rescue came Rover and Deanna. I am disabled, on SSDI, and can only work at my own pace part-time. And I have a limited income, if you know anything about SSDI—disability income. When the bunch of Guys came to my home sometime this afternoon, they only brought insect traps; they were not prepared to do extermination, exhuming the apartment. The directions they received were to place and set the inspection bug traps. So technically, I did not have to hire Rover and could have kept the cat, Goblin, home because no pesticides were being sprayed. Deanna was sending me reports by text and pictures, telling me about the cats' status and how they're getting along with the other pets. Deanna has cats of her own at her home. I needed to know that because since Nov. 2025, he has not been acclimated to other animals, cats. She has done that. keeping me aware of my dude, Goblin. When she returned Goblin to me, I informed her of what happened and that I really didn't need to remove Goblin from the house because the company and management had changed the plan and were only doing bug traps, not exterminating. I was communicating in JISP, not expecting anything. I know it's a business. I also read her profile and her comfort level with animals. It was impressive. Goblin was returned to me, and I was kept up to date on his behavior, which I didn't know about since I hadn't been with other pets since getting him from the SPCA. I went to the YMCA after feeding Goblin at home and received a beep and a message from the sitter, Deanna. She revised the amount of money I paid out for the service and refunded me the cost of the service, and just kept the transportation fee for picking Goblin up in her vehicle and returning to my address later. She wished me luck for my job interview, which we talked about. Well, I communicated with her about tomorrow at Bayhealth. She mentioned that and refunded me the service cost, and just kept the taxi ride to pick up and bring back the goblin from her home. I hope one day I can return the favor to someone myself, the way Deanna showed me. I'd definitely recommend her. She seems to love pets and is comfortable with them. Next time I use Rover, I will look for Deanna. Before that, I will make it clear what services are provided at my studio apartment so I do not disturb her income, knowing how difficult money is these days. Thank you, Ms. Deanna.

Thank you so much Deanna for watching all four of my rowdy girls while we were away for our 2 day vacay!! I tend to be quite a *particular* pet parent with all my gadgets, labels, hand notes and routines lol, so I really appreciated your patience and cooperation with my craziness. My pups will miss you but they will see you again soon!!
