Pet care experience
When I was a kid, I always thought of our family dog as a full-fledged sibling of mine. I am passionate about extending that same familial love to all of the animals that I take care of. I have been a cat parent since 2011. I have two grey boys, a 16-year-old and a 1-year-old. I love them with all my heart! Our time together has immeasurably strengthened my pet care abilities. I started on Rover in 2016 and over the years I have taken care of all kinds of pets — from puppies & kittens to senior pets, and low-maintenance pets to special-needs pets. I have a current certification in Pet CPR, and I hold a general liability pet care insurance policy from PCI. ___________________________________ Details about my rates: (Rover adds an 11% fee on top of these prices. See the prices listed under the Services tab for totals including all fees.) Drop-In Visits 30 min – $30 60 min – $50 No additional charges for multiple pets. In-home services only. If a visit involves leaving the property with your pet, it is a Dog Walk. Dog Walks 30 min – $40 plus 10 dollars per additional dog 60 min – $65 plus 15 dollars per additional dog I do not offer overnight house-sitting, however, I am able to offer walks or drop-ins at consistent intervals, such as 6am/1:45pm/9:30pm, so that your pet is never alone for more than 8 hours. If you book 3 or more walks/visits per day, I will apply a 10% discount on those days. After-Hours rate My normal working hours are 6am-10pm. Outside of those hours, service rates are multiplied 2x the normal rate. Additional dog charges are not affected. Holiday rate I only charge a holiday rate on four days of the year: Thanksgiving Day, December 24, December 25, and December 31. On those dates, service rates are multiplied 2x the normal rate. Additional dog charges are not affected. ___________________________________
Reviews

David took terrific care of our cat, Sebastian. David was very responsive to communications from us, answering quickly… and there were a number of instructional communications from us both before and after we left on our trip. We received pictures of Sebastian each time he visited, which meant David had to get down on the floor to snap a photo of Sebastian under a bed! Big thank you! I will definitely contact David again to pet sit the next time we take a trip.

David was amazing, super great to communicate with, and great with our dog. Highly recommend David, we will use him again in the future for our needs!

David was fantastic! He came by to check on our five Shibas over the last two days and did a wonderful job. He was incredibly patient with them, which is no small task with five independent pups! He arrived promptly for each visit and took the time to share detailed feedback afterward, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. It’s such a relief to have found someone so reliable—and so close by—for days when I need to be away from home for extended periods. Highly recommend and will definitely be booking again!

David took great care of my dog. He is reliable, and clearly experienced with dogs. He went the extra mile to make the time fun and enriching so my dog came home happy and tired.

Information David P. would like to know about your pet
Please don’t be afraid to overshare! I love to know lots of details about pets. And it’s always nice to have things written down so that I can refer back to it later.
A typical day
Walking is one of my favorite activities, with or without a dog by my side. I love to explore different areas on foot, and find places that I’ve never been before. I like to go slow and look around, so if your dog likes to stop and sniff a lot, that’s fine with me. But even more than I like to go slow, I like to go fast! So if your dog is high-energy, I’m more than happy to cover as much ground as possible. I can easily cover 3+ miles in an hour with a dog that likes to keep moving.

Pet care is my only job, so my schedule is very open and flexible. I’m almost always able to accept last-minute bookings, and it’s no problem for me if you end up having to cancel with short notice.
