Always keeps us up to date with the boys while we’re gone and does a great job

I rebooked Danika for another in home dog care and she was great. We’ve had her a few times now and never had any issues whatsoever so ever. My dog loves her and my bird seems to enjoy her as well. I will highly recommend her to anyone that need pet care, and I look forward to her services in the future.

My dogs are family and when you trust someone with them, you expect a basic level of care and respect. Dogs depend completely on the person caring for them to notice their needs and respond appropriately. Based on my experience that responsibility was not met which is very upsetting. I had an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience hiring Danika. I am very upset with the poor standards and work ethic that my animal family experienced. I spoke with Danika in advance to express my concerns from past experiences with hiring a dog/house sitter. I thought that would make a difference in the care of my precious dogs. I provided a welcoming environment. I purchased $100 of groceries, food, snacks, fruit, ice cream, and drinks. My home was clean and the guest bathroom and bedroom were cleaned with freshly laundered towels, sheets, blankets, etc. I took Danika on a tour of the house and the yard twice. I provided the list she requested. I cleaned the yard before I left. I offered time to answer questions. Danika asked for a house key which was left in the kitchen window and when I returned was on the island. Red Flags • Lack of Communication: Evasive, one-sentence updates during a medical situation and leaving without a proper handover are of basic pet-sitting etiquette. • Unsupervised Health Issues: Danika notified me on Friday of one of the dogs peeing on the bed and on Saturday one of the dogs had diarrhea which strongly suggest my dogs' bathroom schedules weren't adequately prioritized or monitored. Toe nail scratches on a significant portion of the wall in the bedroom suggest the dogs were left alone for a long period of time. The custom $350 step for my disabled dog was chewed up, wood and carpet which may have been the cause of the diarrhea which started on Saturday while I was at work and ended on Tuesday, 2 days after I returned, and the result of being left in a room with the door closed. • The washing machine stopped spinning because Danika filled it to the top with the bedspread, sheets, and blankets. I had to remove soaking wet laundry. There were 4 loads of laundry in the washing machine. The dryer was running. The mattress cover was soaking wet and there was standing water in the dryer. I used an entire roll of paper towels to remove the water. I just purchased laundry soap and the container is almost empty. Since this was all in progress it appears Danika started laundry at the last minute knowing exactly the time I would be returning. If you don't know how to do run a washing machine, then don't. • The guest bedroom is a mess. The guest bathroom sink is filthy. The bathtub is filthy with hair and sand. • The back yard was not cleaned. There was dog poop throughout the yard and several paw prints where the dogs stepped in the poop. • Danika rushed out the door the moment I returned, avoiding accountability and explanations, grabbing the $160 cash tip in my hand showing a lack of respect. After Danika ran out of the house and I discovered all of these issues, I texted her an asked about each issue. I also asked for the tip back twice. I never asked if she left while I was gone. Danika texted that she never left and she has plenty of pictures to prove it. Red Flag. Is that why the key was moved because you put the dogs in a bedroom and left. I am so upset and disappointed in Danika. $100 groceries, $739 Rover, $160 tip and more stress than I can express in this review. It is not about the money, it is about hiring the best person to take care of your dogs and keep your house in the same condition it was in when you left. I don't appreciate having to clean the entire house, fix the washing machine, wash/dry multiple loads of laundry, and cleaning the yard, when the house/yard were clean when Dankia arrived. Danika’s responses start with, “well I mean”…she had no valid reasons for the low standards. I called Rover this morning. I do NOT recommend Danika.

Danika was friendly and personable. She stopped by prior to my booking to meet my pets and it was obvious right of the bat she an animal lover. My skittish cats warmed up to her pretty quickly and she took great care of them on her drop in visits

Danika was prompt in her visits and provided photos of Bob hiding underneath either the bed or the couch. Proof of life🤣. She also was very helpful in bringing in some deliveries, which was much appreciated. I would definitely hire her again, maybe she’d even have a chance to meet Bob face to face.
