Daisy, is a very caring person and it’s especially good at looking after dogs and children. She treats them as if they are her own, and gives them lots of attention as she does to her own dog.

Daisy has loved animals and especially dogs all of her life! She is an incredibly thoughtful and caring person and this can be seen in the way she looks after the animals she spends time with. She has looked after my dogs on many occasions, always attending to their needs with love and care - whether that is giving them lovely walks on the beach or in the woods, making sure they get their breakfast and dinner at the right time and giving them the attention and cuddles they enjoy. When she has looked after older dogs that I have had she has been very patient and caring, making sure they get the medication they need. She is also a wonderful dog mum to her own pet, Bella who she is totally devoted to!

Schedule

Pet care fits comfortably into my daily and weekly routine, as I am currently on maternity leave and have a very flexible schedule. This allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the animals in my care, whether that involves regular walks, feeding, playtime, or general companionship. Although I have been out of this type of service for a while, I am eager to return to a structured routine and see this as a great opportunity to continue learning more about animals. I am passionate about rebuilding my experience and developing a career that aligns with my love for animal care.

Safety, trust & environment

Safety, trust, and a calm environment are very important to me when caring for animals in my home. I live on a small farm surrounded by beautiful countryside, which provides a peaceful and enriching setting for pets. While I do not have a fully secure garden, I take dogs outside on a lead for toileting and always supervise them closely, as I do with my own dog on a daily basis. Our property is accessed via a locked gate at the bottom of the ford, adding an extra layer of security, and pets in my care are never left unattended outdoors. I always ensure animals are safe, comfortable, and well cared for while in my home. Plus my home is so homely and dogs are welcome where ever they wish, to make them feel at home, away from home.

A typical day

A typical day is shaped around the individual needs and energy levels of each dog. We start the morning with a toilet break, followed by breakfast, and then plan the day from there. I love finding wonderful places to walk, whether that’s open spaces where dogs can run and play, bringing a ball or toy for games while we’re out, visiting dog-friendly parks, or enjoying a more chilled day at home if that’s what a dog prefers. Although I don’t have a secure garden, I always make sure dogs have plenty of opportunities to stretch their legs through regular walks and outdoor time. I enjoy exploring new places, and when appropriate, I sometimes meet up with friends or family who also have dogs, providing safe and positive social interaction

Daisy can host up to 1 pet per night
As I’ve recently decided to return to a career in pet care as a new mum, I feel it’s really important to understand each pet’s needs ahead of time. I’m happy to welcome dogs for walks, playtime, or care alongside my own dog and little one, but clear communication is key. I ask that owners provide full details of any requirements their pet may have, such as dietary needs, sensitivities, routines, or behavioural considerations. For example, my own dog Bella cannot have chicken-based foods due to irritation and is on a grain-free diet, so I fully understand the importance of following specific instructions. I also appreciate plenty of notice for bookings, meet-and-greets, day care, overnight stays, and cancellations, as this helps me plan my time effectively and ensure I can give the best care to every dog I look after.
