I have always believed that cats are the best judges of character. They do not care about what you say; they care about how you behave. My approach is simple: I let the cat lead. I have noticed that even the more cautious "neighborhood regulars" in Leiden, who usually keep their distance from strangers, tend to feel comfortable around me. Some have even started waiting for me on my doorstep. This natural bond led me to volunteer at De Poezenboot in Amsterdam. My role there focuses on providing a calm, "low-arousal" presence for senior, blind, and fearful cats who simply need someone to be with them without pressure. To deepen my understanding of feline well-being, I successfully completed the Fear Free® Shelter Program. This advanced training, combined with my practice at the boat, allows me to truly master the art of patience and understand feline boundaries at a professional level. I think cats trust me because I am a naturally quiet person and I never try to force an interaction. Why choose me? I’ve seen how much a calm, patient person can impact a cat’s well-being. Whether your cat is a bold explorer or a shy soul who prefers to watch from a distance, I will make sure they feel respected and safe. Dagmara is a highly professional cat sitter who took excellent care of my cat, Elena. Elena is usually shy and a little wary of people she doesn’t know, but Dagmara managed to earn her trust in less than two days by respecting her boundaries and making her feel comfortable at her own pace. When I came back, Elena was calm, well looked after, and ready to play. I’m very happy with the care Dagmara provided and would definitely recommend her.
After Dagmara sitting my cat for a week, I found my Cali super chilled, playful and cuddly exactly how I left her. She took excellent care of my cat, paying attention to all her needs and sending me updates and pictures everyday. She also watered my plants and I found my apartment cleaned and tidy, which is also very nice of her. Dagmara is very experienced with cats and you can be sure she will do the best for your cat while you are away. I 100% recommend her!
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would have! Dagmara took care of my cat, Ami, for almost a week. You can tell she takes it very seriously by asking all sorts of questions during the intake interview and writing them all down. She gave me a detailed update every day on how my cat was doing. Because those days were very hot, she made sure he got enough fluids and provided all kinds of tips to keep him hydrated! Everything was left tidy and agreements were honored. I would absolutely let Dagmara cat-sit my cat again!
We found Dagmara just a few days before a weekend trip. She was very helpful with planning a meeting to meet our 3 cats and getting the instructions needed to work with all the gadgets we have. She works very organised and is patient, giving the girls time to get to know her. We received a detailed daily report including lovely pictures. We are very happy with Dagmara's help and will definitely ask her again in the future.
Dagmara was een fantastische oppas voor onze poes Snoopy. Ze heeft haar een week lang 1x per dag bezocht en gevoerd en mee geknuffeld en we kregen elke dag een gedetailleerde update inclusief foto’s. We konden goede afspraken met haar maken en ze was zeer goed voorbereid. Ze komt bij je langs voor een kennismaking zodat ze precies weet wat je wilt. Het was bij ons Kemal nogal last minute maar we hadden er gelijk vertrouwen in. Snoopy was happy dus wij ook. Ik ga haar zeker weer boeken.
Dagmara heeft onze oude kater Sammy 3 dagen een fijn bezoekje gegeven. Geknuffeld en verzorgd. We zijn blij met haar leuke verhalen en de foto's. Bij onze volgende vakantie komen we zeker bij haar terug!
