Hi my name is Cyndy I am a reliable Pet Sitter. I have over 20 years of experience caring for all kinds of animals. I have a genuine love and respect for all animals. I worked for a Veterinary hospital and have been trained, but not licensed, as a Veterinary Technician. I also went to school for dog grooming. I am effective in working with them not only because of my experience and knowledge base, but due to my sincere compassion and empathy for them. I retired from Food Lion after 23 years; and since retiring, I have taken my passion for animals to a higher level. I advocate for them in many ways. On one occasion I walked to Washington DC from Manteo to bring awareness to our U.S. Congressional delegation regarding the way our sheltered animals are killed. A few months later I walked from Manteo to Raleigh to address our State legislators as well. I have two rescue dogs, one foster dog, and five rescue cats. When caring for pets I ensure they are fed, watered, and walked. I also ensure they have plenty of play time and, most importantly, know they are loved. I am responsible and take the trust of my clients very seriously. My organizational skills are outstanding and I am able to keep track of appointments and related tasks. I absolutely love animals of all kinds and I am an enthusiastic and loving care provider. My passion shows and I have been commended by my family and friends. Prior to our week of vacation in Avon , we used Rover to find a pet sitter for our dog, Toto. so that we could spend a day at Wright Brothers, Jockey's Ridge, and the Lost Colony play. Cynthia was in the area, and after sending her a message, she messaged me back immediately and everything was set up promptly. We arrived around 11:45 AM on the appointed day and were met by Cynthia and her husband. Both are absolute dog-lovers, and their 4 dogs welcomed Toto into their home immediately. Their home is set up perfectly for hosting dogs; a large, fenced pen area and a big, dog-friendly living room. Her personal dogs were friendly, and she also was watching a poodle who seemed to be a frequent visitor. We gave her the scoop on our Toto, and knew he'd be in good hands for the day. On several occasions throughout the day, she texted us photos to let Toto was doing well. Upon pickup at 10:45 PM- when the play was over, which coincidently was a 5-minute drive from her house- she gave us an overview of his day, including a walk through the Lost Colony park with her dogs- and said her goodbyes. Everyone- Cynthia, Toto, and our family- had a great day with this arrangement. The next day, she texted us several more photos of Toto that had not come through the previous day. We highly recommend Cynthia. She is knowledgeable about dogs, loves dogs, and has the right setup to take care of your furry family member!
Cynthia took such wonderful care of Batman walks, snuggled, and more walks. I will definitely use her again. Batman had more vacation than we did?
Cynthia is amazing. My dog Gracie stayed a week while we vacationed in Salvo. Every morning Cynthia sent me pictures of my pit lab, Gracie, enjoying morning adventures of walks to the parks with her new friends. Gracie and myself were nervous at first but Cynthia reassured me it would be fine. I will 100 percent book Cynthia our next trip. I am amazed by her care and compassion for dogs. She is seriously a gem.
Cynthia was kind and took wonderful care of our pup for the day. She sent us lots of pictures and kept us up to date on all the fun things they were doing. Would highly recommend!
Simply put Cynthia is amazing! I would absolutely 100% recommend her to anyone looking for overnight care of their dogs. Communication was above our expectations. Cynthia went out of her way to make us comfortable during the stay as well, she provided pictures, videos and daily updates. We will absolutely use her again when we are back in the OBX area.
