Pet care experience
I have a lifelong love of animals, and a real soft spot for those who don't do well in traditional kennels. I've owned six cats and five dogs over my lifetime and have ample experience caring for other people's pets. I'm experienced with giant, large, medium, small, and toy breeds, as well as dogs with fear aggression (a very nervous English Mastiff). I'm very comfortable caring for animals with disabilities, special needs, or age-related issues like blindness, incontinence, and muscle weakness. I miss having my own sidekick and probably will again one day, but in the meantime I'd love to take care of yours. :)

Crystal is a godsend! If you are looking for a caring sitter for your pet, look no further. Crystal looked after our two pups, one of which is elderly and requires some extra care and TLC….well let me tell you she did a phenomenal job! Both our dogs were happy and content when we arrived home. Crystal is a great communicator and kept us updated with how things were going throughout the day. Thank you again Crystal!
Crystal was an awesome dog sitter - she is very personable and easy to talk with. She had a lot of stuff on hand which was nice in case we forgot something. She gave us regular updates with pictures and kept good care of Bella. I would recommend and use Crystal as a dog sitter again for sure.
Crystal was amazing! My dogs took to her right away. She kept to their schedules and sent me pictures to show me how they were doing. I felt safe and confident leaving my doggies with her :)

Due to renos and a long-term guest, I'm not currently petsitting in my own home, but I'm happy to sit in yours. Your rules are my rules with respect to where your animals can be and what they can do. If your pets normally sleep with you, they can sleep with me too. I'll show the same care to your home that I show to your pets - basic housecleaning, watering plants, collecting mail, and accepting parcels are all part of it.

Every dog/cat is different, so please let me know what kind of activities, affection, and toys they like. Also, please let me know if there is anything they fear! I want to be consistent with your house rules, so please share those and we will stick to them while you're away. A written schedule for food and walks and bathroom breaks is much appreciated!
A typical day
I love to go for walks and will set the distance, timing, and pace based on what's normal for your pup. I have some skills puzzles that I used with my border collie that I can bring along for dogs with an interest. I love to freeze treats in ice for the pups in summer, and hide treats in tricky locations to provide mental stimulation. I'll play ball, frisbee, tug - whatever your dog loves.

Availability
I work full-time from home with significant flexibility in my schedule. To work from yours, all I need is a strong internet connection. My company is extremely pet friendly, and my co-workers love furry friends popping into meetings, so my charges are free to hang with me - on my desk, on my lap, in their bed beside me - while I work. I have significant flexibility in my day walks, feeding, and so on.
