I have a MA & BA in Economics, a FdSc in Wildlife Management & Conservation and a BA BSc Professional Studies with a Disertation on volunteering. I also have done an online course with a verified distinction certificate in animal behaviour. Currently, I am a healthcare assistant and receptionist at the Ipswich Hospital, a Facebook vlogger (Heart Qissa) and a volunteer at Bluecross Suffolk. Volunteering experience: - World Wide Fund for Nature Romania (WWF) (November 2011 – August 2013) as a volunteer and volunteer coordinator I focused on raising awareness about environmental issues, acting as a tour guide for international visitors (students and teachers) in Bucharest and managed a team of 15 volunteers ensuring their needs are met over several events. - Save the Children Romania (SCR) (November 2012 – August 2013) as a volunteer and volunteer coordinator I have mainly focused on fundraising, raising awareness on social issues and ensuring volunteer welfare during events. - Suffolk Wildlife Trust (January 2014 – December 2015) as a Wildlife Watch Leader advertising, planning and leading leading monthly park sessions for children aged 5-12 teaching them about nature through a series of engaging activities - University of Suffolk Student's Union as a Course rep (2013/14) and later a Campus Officer, executive team member and chief writer for the newspaper (2014/15) - Cats volunteer at RSPCA Martlesham December 2015 to October 2016. I have been a cat volunteer at Blue Cross since March 2016. I have been taking care of cat(s) to various degrees for most of my youth as my parents always had a cat at home. My inlaws had 4 cats that I took care of with my wife while they were away on holidays abroad.
Reviews
Alex took excellent care of our two cats. He was easy to communicate with and very flexible and helpful in arranging the cat sitting while we were away. He was in regular communication while we were away and sent us some fun pictures of the cats. We will definitely ask Alex to cat sit again!
Alex looked after Daisy very well whilst I was away. He sent me daily photos and updates so I didn't need to worry about my cat. He also came round to meet Daisy before the booking and made sure he had all the information he needed. I would happily book Alex again to look after my cat.
We can't recommend Alex enough after taking care of our boys over the Christmas period. He went out of his way to take the best care of them, while sending lots of pictures and updates each day. Both kitties seemed very content and relaxed and couldn't have had a better sitter. Thank you!
Christian was reliable and generous with his time. He has a gentle approach with cats which is appreciated. We would use him again.
