Energy to match your Pup!
Pet care experience
Hi! While I’ve been an animal lover my whole life, I became especially passionate about caring for domestic animals around 13, when I began volunteering with organizations like CAAWS, Brec, Cat Haven and more! I’ve also studied veterinary tech at BRCC and picked up helpful first-aid knowledge. I currently work at Dogtopia, where I’ve spent some time hands-on learning even more about dog behaviors and body language. Besides that, I love outdoor activities - running, rucking, hiking - and find that most pups share this love! However, I love a couch potato too, and I’d be just as happy curling up on the sofa and watching Marvel movies or reading a comic with them! Whether your pup is full of energy or laid-back, I can’t wait to meet them! :)
Reviews

Courtney has been a huge help to us! We were especially worried as we have a blue heeler with reactivity and a catahoula with anxiety, but she has been the perfect playmate for our dogs! Highly recommend Courtney as she has been super clear in her communication with us and we feel safe having her in our home :)
Courtney is very responsible and a natural caretaker for pets. She has worked for me at my dog daycare managing many dogs at one time, and is always patient and loving with all of the dogs, even in stressful situations. I trust her 100% and I have no doubt that she will take excellent care of any pets she is watching.
Courtney is wonderful with my pets. She takes care of them like they are her own. She knows so much about dogs because she's with them everyday at work. You'd be lucky to have her take care of your pups!
Courtney is very gentle, compassionate and thorough with all of my pets. 10/10 would recommend Courtney to take care of my pets or anyone else's pet again. She woul take them on walks, cuddle, pet, feed, and play with them. My dogs always feel at home when Courtney is around!

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pups (and kitties), safety and trust are my top priorities. With years of volunteer experience as well as professional experience at Dogtopia, I’ve developed a strong understanding of canine behaviors through careful observation of body language. I create a very calm and welcoming environment where pets feel secure, no matter the activity. I always say the dogs are like my sheep, and I’m their shepherd. My background in vet tech also has given me a good foundation in basic first aid, where I can handle minor issues with confidence.

Information Courtney C. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know in advance your pups energy level and where I’m permitted to bring them as well as their weight. I will also need to be aware of any medical conditions, allergies, or injuries and their vaccination status/flea and tick prevention (especially if you’re interested in dog park visits). I’d be interested in knowing their house routines as well (potty schedule, food schedule and portions, crate training or free roam, commands you’d like me to work on, and any house rules I should follow). Finally, I require an emergency contact number and their primary vet/preferred emergency clinic. Don’t worry about remembering all of this, I’ve created a short questionnaire I’ll send you if you need it!
A typical day
A typical day at doggy daycare with me is full of exercise and loving! We’ll go on a walk, jog, or run each day and (with parent permission) may visit Antioch Park’s big open field or head to Burbank dog park for extra social time. If the dog is water-loving, we may visit a pond! When we’re all tired out, we’ll relax indoors with a nap, a good movie, or some quiet reading time together. Water is available 24/7 throughout the house as well as outside, and (with parent permission) your pup can enjoy a few approved snacks during the day. When the visit is through, I’ll provide a summary of our activities and anything you might need to know. Your pups safety and comfort are my top priorities! :) + Baths are available upon request! - if you provide the soap, it’s $20, or I can use my own for an extra $5.
