Winohka K9 Training and Grooming provides home atmosphere boarding for your pet. We care for your pet like our own. I am a certified trainer, CCPDT-KA, and a certified groomer. In 2015, I retired from teaching special education and substitute or tutor on occasion. We have always had dogs in our home. For 12 years we breed Miniature Australian Shepherds. My husband and I have been married for 33 years, we have two married children and 4 grandchildren. We love to travel and understand how important it is to know your animals are well cared for. I have been a 4H dog advisor, Pet Partners evaluator and therapy dog team, individual and private dog trainer and trial our dogs in many venues. We live 1000 ft off the road on 20 plus acres with a fenced in back yard. There is a dog park and walking trails located close to our home. You will be required to show proof if updated shot records and a veterinarian that can be reached in case of emergancy. Am certified in animal first aide and CPR.

Connie watched my two older dogs while I was away for several days. She has a good yard for the dogs and did a great job with ours. They were happy and unstressed. Her dogs are obviously very well taken care of. Connie was flexible and communicated well.
Daisy's stay with Connie was terrific. Connie texted me from time to time with status on Daisy's stay and even with pictures of her snoozing on her pillow and hanging out with Connie's mom. Connie's home is definitely dog friendly and Daisy had a great time playing with Connie's dogs and with her grandson. I highly recommend Connie. I'll have her watch Daisy in the future.

Connie is a dog whisperer! This was the first time Connie cared for my dogs, and I knew as soon as I met Connie that they were in capable hands. On our meet and greet, Connie gave the dogs and I a tour of her basement which is a great space for pets as the walk-out opens to a beautiful fenced in wooded lot. Connie also has large crates inside and dog runs outside, basically many different options depending on the dogs' needs. Connie is a dog groomer and trainer, and she works in this space, so my dogs often were around her, which I know they loved. I will definitely ask Connie to watch my pets, Ethel and Tawnee, again. Connie, was warm during our meet and greet, which put us at ease way before we left Baby (yes that's our Yorkshire Terriers name). She has a lot of certified experience with dogs, which is why we chose her, but much to our surprise when we met we knew Baby would not be in a sterile but warm, friendly, family environment. Connie's dog Sky, Mom, and grandchildren made Baby a part of their family for 4 days while we were away and sent pictures to prove it. Baby is a rambunctious, energetic, eight month old puppy so patience was a must and Connie survived it. I was totally pleased. Connie, deserved the tip I left and more.
