Pet care experience
I have many dog friends from Virginia to Mississippi who love me because we run, take pictures, and cuddle during our visits! I have been a horse caretaker since 2013, official pet sitter/dog walker since 2015, worked as an Adoptions Counselor at the Humane Society of South Mississippi handling cats and dogs with a range of personalities and backgrounds, worked as a dog trainer during the initial wave of Covid, and worked for the Virginia Living Museum before moving back to Charlottesville. Animals are my passion and love and I always pay attention to the details of their care and treat them as if they were my own.

Clara was amazing!! She was able to step in and help us out rather last minute since our original pet sitter had to back out. She was super responsive and very easy to coordinate with, making it incredibly easy to get organized short notice. She stayed at our house with our two pups who absolutely loved her. We have one dog who is a little more high energy and can be anxious, but she was completely comfortable with him and did a great job entertaining him and understanding his quirks. Our other dog just wants love and snuggles and she made sure to give her that throughout the weekend. I got lots of photos and updates while we were away so had complete peace of mind that both our dogs were well cared for! I would 100% recommend Clara for any of your pet sitting needs and we will definitely be contacting her in the future! Not only was she great with our dogs and taking care of the house, but she's a pleasure to be around and work with.
Clara took such good care of my critters! I came home from the rare weekend out of town to find my pup and kitties happy and calm. She clearly gave them the time and attention that they needed while I was away. She was very communicative and highly responsive. I plan to book Clara again for any future needs!

Availability
I have a flexible hybrid work schedule and love to take your dogs on long walks on trails, hikes, playing ball in big fields, and having cuddle time after we’re tired. I’ve taken dogs swimming, on my runs, dog parks, kayaking, etc and they LOVE it. It’s such a great feeling to see that happy, tired dog face at the end of the day and knowing they had fun!
