Hi! I graduated from URI 2023 and have lived in southern RI for my entire life. I’ve grown up with cats, dogs, a tortoise, and fish so I am well versed in pets. I have pet-sat for friends and family and have volunteered with cats before.

In client homes, I follow the pet’s lead and listen to their needs. I like to know as much as necessary in order to be as comfortable with pets as I can. This could mean knowing where treats are, extra cleaning supplies, water bowls, etc.

I like to know how they’ll react to me when I enter the home and how I should enter the home, as in what behaviors between pet and person work best. Also if there’s anything your pet absolutely hates!
A typical day
With the dogs I watch, I like to take them outside to play fetch or others activities like tug of war (if they like it of course). I love to go on walks through nature- any nature trail, around ponds, or any other place where dogs can explore without the noise of most busy areas.

Availability
I can be busy throughout the week- but scheduling time to be active and social is vital to all of our well beings. Pet care in my daily routine comes as naturally as possible; it’s been a component of my life since I was born. My schedule is varied, but I can consistently dedicate a few hours in the afternoon and weekends to pets and their various adventures. I have scattered full day availability throughout each month that I fill with check ins and walks :)
