Pet care experience
We always had dogs when I was a child. Since adulting, I've had 3 of my own, all lived to 13 or 14 years. I love dogs and recently had to say goodbye to my 13.5 year old beautiful Labrador. I'm not ready to commit full time to another dog, so have decided to try dog sitting. I regularly look after a friends dog, as well as my sister's and cousin's when they go away and live in a beautiful valley with lots of country walks on the doorstep.

Claire and her daughter have been brilliant with Ruby. It's the first time in years that we've had to leave her with anyone other than my mum and I was worried, but Claire provided daily updates/pictures and totally put my mind at ease. It's obvious she has been really well looked after and it has been her own little holiday. She's been treated like one of the family, I couldn't have asked for more. Thank you Claire! X
Milo had such a lovely stay with Claire and Madi during his 2 week stay. I was updated daily and this put my mind at ease throughout my whole holiday! Highly recommended. I have a small fenced garden which opens onto an alley. At the end of the alley is a large playing field which leads on to miles of cycle paths. I'm nestled in a valley near mountain walks and half an hour's drive from the coast, so can give your dog lots of fresh air. My house is 3 storey so dogs would need to be able to cope with stairs (both sets of stairs are carpeted so a dog can grip to come down). The basement floor is tiled and opens onto the garden. The middle floor opens onto the street, however, I rarely use the front door, especially not for dog walking.

Given that I look after a variety of dogs, I will need evidence that your dog's vaccinations, flea and worming treatments are all up to date. This is in order to keep us all safe. I would like to know about dietary requirements and whether or not any medication is needed. I'm happy to give medication and follow dietary rules, so just let me know what and when is needed, and whether or not medication needs to be hidden in cheese or meat, which I had to do with my elderly Labrador!
A typical day
I live in a beautiful location with lots of country walks, mountains or coastal can be provided. Happy to play fetch and amuse indoors if necessary.

Availability
I'm a freelance Artist with a home studio. I work at home as well as in various locations. My only 2 regular work days are Thursday and Friday mornings when I teach. Other work is sporadic so I need to be flexible, which is why I need a few days notice.
