I’ve always grown up with pets of all kinds, and worked with the dogs and cats at a local animal shelter from July of 2022 until February 2025! I have experience with many breeds and temperaments through work, as well as handling special requirements or medical needs. I have a friendly Dalmatian that I raised from a puppy who is very well socialized with cats and dogs of all sizes/temperaments, so she loves joining on walks or play dates with other friendly pups. In mid-August I was finally able to adopt my favorite dog from work and have put in a lot of work socializing him with new dogs and people, since it can still be overwhelming or too exciting for him. He’s been doing SO well adjusting and has been great with all the dogs he’s met, but now we’re confidence building with humans. I'm more than willing to work with pets that also may be reactive or take a moment to warm up to strangers. I’ve also recently completed an in person Pet CPR/First Aid Class, and have attended two basic obedience classes with dogs from the shelter in the past.
