Genuine love and care for fur babes
I have taken care of dogs and cats since I was little, mostly house sitting and through my parents and sister's many different pets. I love training, walking, and cuddling with these empathetic creatures. I also have some experience in helping out at a dog boarding and day care facility in Steamboat Springs. I graduated December 2021 with my Outdoor Education AA and my Sustainability Studies BA from Colorado Mountain College. I then had the privilege to travel internationally and more locally for a year afterwards but the yampa valley curse sucked me back in! I now live in Steamboat full time. Last year I was unfortunately laid off from my position as Conservation Corps Program Manager at Rocky Mountain Youth Corps due to federal funding cuts. BUT lucky for you and your pets that does mean that I have more availability for walks and sitting! I am also working at Mary’s Mountain Cookies downtown. I can provide any environment that best suits your dog. I want them to feel safe and to stick with their routine while you are away. I prefer house sitting rather than drop ins with dogs that are not used to their owners being away for long periods of time. I will do my best to provide stability, basic needs, and of course lots of love, attention and cuddles!

I boarded my dog Amelia with Cierra for the first time, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. It’s always such a relief to know a family member is being cared for and loved, and Cierra gave me complete peace of mind. She was very flexible with drop-off and pick-up times, sent me photo updates during Amelia’s stay, and made the whole process so easy. Amelia was clearly happy and well taken care of. I’m very grateful and would definitely book with Cierra again!

Cierra did a great job watching my sweet, often stubborn, Brookie Rose. She worked hard to get Brookie to go on long walks. I loved the picture she sent of them snuggling on the couch! Cierra was flexible, as our flight home was delayed. Thanks Cierra!

Schedule
Aside from the occasional travels, outdoor adventures, and family visits, I am working almost full time at Mary’s Mountain Cookies downtown. I do have a lot of flexibility in my schedule and can check on pups during my breaks etc.

I want your dog to be the most comfortable they can be while you are gone. I will try to stick to their normal routine and training as closely as possible and provide them lots of love and play time!
A typical day
I live in the downtown area of Steamboat Springs near Butcher Knife trail. We have the Yampa river, the core trail, and many parks for playing or running the dogs too! There are so many beautiful paths and options for adventures in and around town. I would love to get your dog outside on adventures and hikes! I have experience training puppies and older dogs basic commands and tricks and I can work with your dog too. I am also happy to play and cuddle with them at home!
