I live in the Bloomingdale neighborhood (near Howard University), and while having clients nearby is convenient, I go everywhere by bike so can easily get to most places in the city. I am in the office full time during the weekdays so am mostly available for weekend stays.

I like to stop by new sitters’ homes for a meet and greet before booking and go over the details of the stay. That way I can get to know your pet and their routine to keep them happy and comfortable while you're away. I also provide pet parents with lots of videos/photos and updates throughout the stay so they can know how their pup is doing.

During our first meeting, I like to go through your dog’s daily routine at home including their eating/drinking/medication schedule, walk preferences and routes, etc. It’s also helpful to know any habits or quirks, their temperament, and friendliness level with other dogs and people.

I love to go on long walks myself, so I am happy to take your dog on walks throughout the day. I also like going to neighborhood dog parks if that’s something your dog enjoys too and is comfortable with. For cats, I love to curl up on the couch with a book and a kitty to snuggle!

*Schedule as of April 2026: Available mostly for weekend stays as I am returning to the office full-time. If you are able to get a midday dog walker or your dog can be left alone for a full day, then I am happy to stay overnight on weekdays too! Hi! I’m Christy, originally from Michigan and have been living in DC for the last four years. Back home my siblings and I grew up in the country with a Corgi, a German Shepherd, and many cats, kittens, and chickens too! I love being around animals and enjoy pet sitting on the side so I can hang out with cute dogs and kitties!

Christy was excellent. She stayed in our home and cared for our three dogs, which can be a handful, but she handled them with ease. She provided consistent updates with photos and videos, and it was clear the dogs were well cared for and comfortable while we were away. I’d highly recommend Christy for in-home pet sitting.
