"Trusted Care for Your Dog – Walks, Stays & Love"
Pet care experience
With over 10 years of experience caring for dogs and a lifetime of having animals of my own, I've been fortunate to make pet care a central part of my life. I've spent years looking after my family's dogs, my partner's dog, and even helping friends and neighbors keep their pets active and happy with regular walks and playtime. Because I work from home, I can give every dog the time, attention, and love they deserve. Unlike larger services where dogs may just be "part of the schedule," I treat each dog as if they’re my own, ensuring they feel secure, stimulated, and completely at home. Whether it’s a leisurely walk for an older pup or engaging play for high-energy dogs, I tailor each day to meet their needs. I understand that pets are family, and when they’re with me, they’ll always feel like they’re right at home. I’m not just here to check a box — I’m here to provide genuine, personal care for each and every dog, going above and beyond to make sure they’re happy, comfortable, and loved.
Reviews

Having never used a dog sitting/boarding service before I was slightly nervous about leaving our 2 dogs with a non family member and someone they were not used to - when we went to a family wedding . I need not have worried at all ! Booking was very straightforward and Christopher provided a lovely, safe and comfortable place for Sam & Max to stay . They played games, went for walks and we got photographs of their day . I did not worry about them at all after the first photo came through - they didn’t even look as if they were missing us ! I will certainly be asking Christopher to mind them again as we have another family wedding in November. It’s so good to have someone who cares and can look after your dogs as you can. So happy we used the service and found Christopher .

Buddy’s stay with Chris was top notch even that he was a little reluctant to leave when I picked him up. Chris provided feedback and pics of the stay. No hesitation in recommending him as a sitter.

Christopher was really good with dolly he kept me up to date with photos & even when had her out on walks through out the day. It was first time I left dolly with someone else apart from my daughter & when Christopher arrived dolly took to him straight away & he even give me some tips on how to help me with dolly when I take her out. Will be using again. .

Chris is very attentive to make sure the dog was welcome, he obviously cares for the pats in his charge.

Safety, trust & environment
My home is designed with your dog’s safety and comfort in mind. I have a securely fenced garden with locked entry points at both the front and back, so you can feel confident knowing your dog is in a secure environment. I’ll always be with them in the garden to ensure they’re safe. Inside, I have my own dog, Yogi, a friendly and playful crossbreed who loves making new friends, and I only welcome one guest dog at a time. This means your dog will have a calm, familiar environment without other unfamiliar pets. If you’d prefer your dog to be walked individually without Yogi, I’m more than happy to accommodate that, too. Plus, there’s a vet just around the corner, so if any situation arises, I can quickly get them the care they need. Your dog will be monitored and cared for throughout the day. Whether they want to be by my side or need their own space, I make sure they have whatever they need to feel at ease. I’ve set up a cozy spare room with blankets where they can relax if they prefer some quiet time, and I’ll check on them regularly to ensure they’re comfortable. I don’t follow a rigid routine, so we can focus entirely on your dog’s needs and preferences. I enjoy engaging dogs in play with toys and games, but I’m also happy to let them rest on the sofa or one of the beds around the house. I’ll rarely, if ever, need to leave your dog alone, and if you prefer they are never left alone, that’s not a problem at all. When caring for a new dog, I take the time to let them explore and get comfortable at their own pace. Building trust is essential, and I find that a calm, gentle approach helps each dog settle in naturally. Over the years, I’ve worked with a range of dog personalities, from shy and reserved to energetic and playful, and I adapt my approach to make sure they feel relaxed and secure. I also use positive reinforcement to help create a comfortable bond. On walks, your dog’s safety is my top priority. I keep them on a lead at all times and follow any specific instructions you have about socializing with other dogs. I have a variety of walking routes nearby, including parks and scenic paths, to keep things interesting and enjoyable. If I have your dog for multiple days, I’ll mix in some gentle adventures to keep them stimulated and engaged. I respect your dog’s privacy and your peace of mind. I can provide photo updates of our time together, but all photos are kept in a secure file on my phone and deleted after our time together. I want you to feel confident that your dog will be cared for as if they were my own, in a safe, loving, and home-like environment.

Information Christopher R. would like to know about your pet
Before I look after your dog, there are a few important things I’ll need to know to make sure they feel right at home: 1. Daily Routine: Any routines or habits your dog follows, including feeding times, walk schedules, and bedtime routines. 2. Health and Diet: Information on their diet, any allergies, medications, or specific health concerns I should be aware of. 3. Temperament and Social Preferences: How your dog typically behaves around other dogs, people, and in new environments. Let me know if there are any triggers or things they’re nervous about. 4. Training and Commands: Any specific commands they know or training they’ve had, so I can use the same cues and keep things consistent. 5. Emergency Contacts: Your preferred vet’s contact details and any emergency contacts, just in case. 6. Favourite Activities and Comforts: Anything that helps them feel comfortable, like a favorite toy, blanket, or any special activity they enjoy. 7. Anything else you need me to know. Having these details helps me create a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for your dog, just like they’re at home.
A typical day
A typical day in my care is all about keeping your dog happy, comfortable, and engaged. We start the day with a morning walk to get some fresh air and exercise, exploring nearby parks or quiet paths. Afterward, they can enjoy some relaxed time at home, with plenty of cozy spots around the house to settle in. If they’re feeling playful, I have a variety of toys and games to keep them entertained and mentally stimulated. Throughout the day, we’ll have a mix of activities tailored to your dog’s needs, whether that’s more playtime, some basic training games, or even just cuddling on the couch if they’re in a calm mood. For high-energy dogs, we’ll incorporate an afternoon walk or even a gentle adventure if they’re staying for multiple days, giving them new experiences and lots of stimulation. In the evening, we wind down with a final walk, then it’s back home for some quiet relaxation time before bed. My goal is to make sure every dog feels at home, loved, and thoroughly looked after, with as much attention and interaction as they need.

Availability
My schedule is highly flexible, as I work from home, which means I can adapt my day to ensure your dog gets all the care, attention, and stimulation they need. I understand that pets aren’t just looking for a place to stay; they’re looking for companionship and comfort, and I’m here to provide that. Any times that I’m unavailable will be clearly marked on my calendar, and I keep it updated so you’ll always know when I’m available. But most of the time, my work-from-home setup allows me to pace my day around your dog’s needs. Whether they need a midday walk, some playtime in the garden, or simply someone nearby to feel secure, I’m here to make sure they feel completely at home and loved. For me, it’s not just about fitting them into my day — it’s about making them the heart of it.
