Availability
I’m currently a graduate student working towards a career in mental health counseling, which takes me out of the house a few times a week for class and otherwise gives me a lot of flexibility! I’m available for walks during weekdays around my class schedule and I’m available for weekend house sitting or boarding depending on your pup’s needs

I live alone with no pets of my own currently, so I love to have the company of other folks’ pups! I live near Lake Merritt and in a nice, residential neighborhood so lots of options for local walks. I also have a car and I love to take pups out for hikes or other adventures if they need some extra exercise. If staying in your home, I can work from there to spend more time with the pup if the space is reasonably set up for that!

Information Christine S. would like to know about your pet
Let me know about your dog’s particular personality and needs, so I can adapt to them! Anything you think is special about your dog I probably want to know.
A typical day
Slow walks or fast walks or even runs if you’re dog is up for it! I love to be outside so typically do three-four walks a day, distance depending on the pup and their stamina but up to 1-2hrs a day during the week and 3 on the weekend. Active is my default but I can run without the dog if I need more exercise than they do :P

Animal Lover and Former Vet Tech
Pet care experience
I’ve been dogsitting and walking through Rover for a little over a year, but I’ve been caring for animals much longer! I’m a go-to sitter for friends and family and have cared for others pets for up to a month at a time, and I’ve also fostered locally for shelters. In an early phase on my life I also worked at a vet as an asst tech, so I have comfort and experience with LOTS of dogs and their unique needs. I’m looking forward to meeting your loved ones!

Reviews

I had a lot of anxiety leaving my girl for over a week. My dog is my life and I wanted her to be well taken care of. Christine was very accommodating and easy to work with. She has a friendly disposition and a warm apt. She sent regular status updates with photos while I was away, which helped give me peace of mind. And it was clear that my dog was well taken care of. I’m sure I will rebook with Christine in the future.

Christine has been reliable, communicative, and trustworthy, though the best recommendation is that the dogs wag their little tails when they see her! Even my tiny, grumpy boy wags his tail, and he usually hates everyone 😆

Christine took great care of our apartment and Arlo while we were away!

Christie goes above and beyond to make sure our pup Arlo is taken care of. Thanks Christie!
