I have been working part-time on Rover since October of 2024. Before Rover, I worked at Camp Bow Wow in Sandy from November 2023 to August 2024, and I loved every minute of it. For 10 months I spent 35 hours each week caring for 25-85 dogs at a time; I fell in love with each pup I had the pleasure of caring for. I learned so much and gained invaluable experience: - I gained a great understanding of how our dogs communicate, including understanding body language and other nonverbal cues. - I took care of dogs as young as 4 months and as old as 18 years! - I managed feeding, medicating, and caring for up to 85 dogs at once - I worked with dogs of all personalities, including dogs that struggled with fear, anxiety, or reactivity. - perhaps most importantly, I learned that it’s possible to love hundreds of dogs as if they’re your own! In addition, I have been fostering a 3yo pitlab mix for the past 5 months. He is the sweetest boy, but he struggles with anxiety and reactivity from his past. He has taught me so much about working with dogs that struggle more with reactivity and anxiety. I will always follow your pet’s cues and make sure they feel safe and loved.
