Caring for people’s pets fits right into my lifestyle, as I am retired and an artist. I spend most of my time at home doing my artwork and working outdoors on my property.

I am very careful with pets that I sit as well as my own. I keep a good eye on them at all times, making sure they are safe and not getting into trouble! I have a gate at the top of my stairs so I know everyone is safe and where they are supposed to be. I live on 3 acres in a little Ohana 450 feet back from the road. It is a very calm and quiet atmosphere with no neighbors in sight.

Please let me know if the dog has allergies, needs certain foods or has any special quirks. I would like to know the different commands that the owner uses with the dog so I can communicate with it as easily as possible in the language it is used to.
A typical day
I live on 3 acres in the country and have a very long driveway that I walk the dogs up and down when I take them out. On a typical day we get up and go outside right away then I come in to feed the pups. I take them on four walks a day, one in the morning, one between noon and 1 o’clock, before dark around 5 PM and again right before bed. If a dog needs more than that, then I take them out as often as they need it. I’m always up for a game of fetch or any other activity the dog enjoys. I enjoy spending time with the animals that I take care of. I am also available to take care of Jacksons chameleons, small caged animals such as guinea pigs, rats, mice, hamsters or gerbils. I would also be happy to take care of your parakeets or cockatiels! I have had all of these types of pets before and I am very capable of performing the care they need.

I have dogsat for people all over the world from the mainland to Costa Rica for over 40 years. People have entrusted their dogs to me for vacations out of the country, long term & short term. I accept them into my home and treat them just as if they were my own! Lots of love, hugs, walks and smooches! I also make sure to follow the pet owners instructions so they are cared for exactly how the owner wants them to be. I am very careful and conscientious while caring for someone else’s dog, safety is first on the list! I am very loving, have high integrity and ethics, plus I am very reliable. Since I am home all day your pet would be with me 24/7. I am one that enjoys interacting with the dogs, whether it be playing fetch or going for a walk everyone enjoys getting outside. I have a Chihuahua, named Jose that I rescued in June 2024. He is a really nice guy but takes a little while to warm up to newcomers. I am very careful while attending someone else’s pet, I know that they are like their baby so I take care of them like one of my own. In other words I spoil them rotten!

Cheryl, is AMAZING. So very sweet with our dog. She sent lots of pictures and updates, very trustworthy, She makes sure the dogs are walked and fed. Our dog didn’t have much of an appetite and she hand fed our dog to make sure she got some food. Seriously such a great lady.
Cheryl is amazing! I am so happy I found her. She took incredible care of my senior dog who I have never left with anyone before. She has special needs in her old age and I am very particular about the care she receives; Cheryl exceeded my expectations. I got regular updates and her response time to any messages I sent was amazing. My old girl Guppy had such a good time and was happy and loved when I picked her up. I will most definitely be using Cheryl again in the future!
There are not enough stars in the sky to rate Cheryl! Absolutely will provide the BEST CARE for your dog! She genuinely loves and cares for her client's dogs as if they were her very own. Her communication is EXCELLENT! She would send photos of my dog and it really made me feel better. Personal messages and updates were comforting. My dog was feeling under the weather due to receiving recent shots but by the time she returned to me she was her old lively self! I highly highly recommend Cheryl to anyone who wants the best for her pet. I had to drive tiny bit out of Hilo to get to her, but WELL WORTH IT!
Awesome pet sitter!! Highly highly recommended Very attentive to my concerns . Gave daily updates and pictures. Made me feel confident and safe leaving my dog with her.
