Pet care experience
I like big mutts and I cannot lie!
I’m passionate about animal care because I love helping animals feel safe, understood, and confident. Seeing a shy or anxious dog come out of its shell and become ready for a loving home is especially rewarding and it continues to shape the thoughtful, individualized care I provide to every pet. My experience began volunteering at the Pasadena Humane Society, where I helped rehabilitate and socialize dogs for adoption. That work gave me a strong foundation in animal behavior and deepened my appreciation for the bond between animals and their people. At University of Wisconsin-Madison, I majored in zoology and especially enjoyed Human and Animal Relationships, a course exploring the biological and philosophical connections between dogs and humans, along with training, breeds, and behavior. Today, I’m pursuing veterinary technician associates degree at bel-rea institute starting in October to continue building my medical knowledge and professional skills. I also volunteer as a surgery recovery aide at Humane Colorado, where I support animals during an important and sometimes vulnerable stage of care. On weekends, I work with Party Safari, bringing 12 reptiles to birthday parties, events, and schools. Along with caring for dogs and cats, I have experience with reptiles, including my own bearded dragon, so I’m comfortable meeting the needs of many different species. When you entrust your pets to me, you receive attentive, professional care tailored to their individual personalities, routines, and needs. I’m especially comfortable with anxious or shy dogs and use my understanding of behavior to help pets feel secure rather than rushed. I pay close attention to changes in mood, appetite, energy, and behavior, and I communicate clearly so you can feel confident your pets are doing well while you’re away. I also understand that caring for your pets means caring for your home. I’m respectful, dependable, and conscientious in every visit, treating your space and belongings with the same consideration I would want in my own home. My ongoing education, hands-on volunteer work, and broad experience with diverse species reflect my commitment to providing knowledgeable and compassionate care. I’m available weekday mornings except Tuesdays. Whether your pet is a sensitive dog, a curious cat, or an exotic companion with specialized needs, I’m ready to provide reliable care, thoughtful attention, and peace of mind for you and your beloved animals.

I have two cats that don’t like other animals so I would prefer if animals didn't stay with me. I am very respectful in other people houses. I try to leave your house better than I found it.

Charlotte was very committed to making sure my pup was comfortable, she even came by ahead of time to give him some time to meet her and feel more relaxed. She took great care of the house. I will definitely invite her back.

Charlotte took great care of our cat Mori and left our home as clean as she found it. Would definitely work with Charlotte again!

Charlotte came in to house sit on short notice and took really good care of our many animals, including two big dogs. Thank you!

Charlotte was fantastic! She gave our pup plenty of exercise, love, and attention while we were away for the day. We came back to a very happy dog. I would absolutely book with Charlotte again!
