Safety, trust & environment
I strongly believe that all animals should be cared for both physically and emotionally at home. What I do to meet their needs in my home: * Providing fresh water at all times and making sure they are fed healthy meals that coincide with weight, age, and food intolerances. * Encourage 15 minute training sessions (involves delicious treats) 1-2x a day for mental stimulation and consistency. * Puppy proofed. I have created a safe space where dogs are free to roam. No access to toxic plants, sniffing out cleaning products, chewing on electrical cords, and/or small objects they could swallow. * Big, comfy beds and/or couches for a place to rest, where they can feel secure. * Maintaining a routine for meals, playtime, walks, potty breaks, and bedtime. Dogs thrive on routine! * Toys, toys toys! Puzzle feeders, sniffing games, and interactive play. * Groom regularly by brushing their coat, trimming nails, cleaning ears when needed, and brushing their teeth. * Using positive reinforcement when redirecting and correcting. I reward good behaviour with yummy treats, praise, belly rubs and/or play time instead of punishing mistakes. * Socialize appropriately with people, other dogs, and new environments to build confidence and good manners. * Monitor their health for changes in appetite, energy, drinking, bathroom habits, and/or behaviour. * Give them attention and affection. Dogs are social animals and need companionship, interaction, and love to thrive. * Respect their individual needs. Every dog has a unique personality, energy level, and comfort zone. I have a fenced yard and a dog park across from my house. Your dog will always have a furry friend to play with or if they prefer alone time, that’s fine too :) I also make my own dog and bake homemade dogs treats as well. So, if your pup is on a strict diet or is on medication- I’m no stranger to feeding them healthy and nutritious meals and/or administering their medications.
Information Charlene S. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any behavioural issues, food allergies, likes other dogs, has quirks, or medication I need to be aware of.
A typical day
A typical day in my house is waking up, and out to the yard for a morning bathroom break. After sniffing around for a bit, it’s breakfast time. I will wait about 30-60 minutes after breakfast and then we walk down to the beach to sniff, play, run or just simply walk the dyke. Come home, drink water, lay in the yard when it’s sunny. Nap time is anywhere between 1pm-2pm. After napping, lay in the yard. Training time is between 4-5pm. Another walk afterwards, come home, sniff around the yard and water the garden. Dinner time 6:30pm. After dinner play with toys and chew on my bone. Bed time 9pm

Reviews
To whomever gets Char to look after their dog you will be blessed with having the best of the best. Everytime i travel, everytime i need an extra walk even a visit to the vet when i am busy, Char handles it all. I would never have anyone else. Zeus absolutely adores her. She makes sure he is walked, fed ,brushed and scratched and given the right amount of belly rubs. My golden has never had a better connection to anyone else ever. Highly highly recommend.
Having known Char for years, I can confidently say she has always been an exceptionally responsible, loving dog owner who will treat all animals with outstanding care and attention.
I’ve had the opportunity to see my sister’s love for animals firsthand for many years. She has always had a natural connection with dogs and treats every one she meets with kindness, patience, and genuine care. She has raised puppies, fostered dogs in need, rescued and adopted them and put countless hours into training and teaching them tricks. She understands that every dog has a unique personality and adapts her approach to suit each dog’s needs. She is dependable, responsible, and pays close attention to a dog’s health, safety, and wellbeing. Whether it’s going for walks, providing exercise and enrichment, sticking to feeding routines, giving them medication or simply spending quality time with them, she always gives dogs the attention they deserve. I would trust her completely to care for any dog, and I have no doubt that pet owners will appreciate the level of compassion, reliability, and dedication she brings. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog sitter or walker.
