Experienced Animal Caretaker
Pet care experience
Hi, my name is Cecilia and I have loved animals ever since I was young. I have owned and cared for all types of animals since I was 10 years old. This includes dogs, cats, horses, cattle, birds and other livestock. I trained horses for several years, and trained my own dog as well. I am very familiar with feeding, watering, walking, training, and cleaning animals. I’d love to walk any dogs or swing by if you need them to be let out or fed/taken care of!
Reviews
Cecilia is a great pick for the Rover team! She has been around animals all her life. She is responsible, trustworthy and very caring. She will treat any dogs that she is taking care of with the out most respect and give them tons of love!

Walks: I will make sure the harness is on correctly before walking. I pick up poo if provided with a doggy bag as well. I also will fill up their water dish after the walk to rehydrate. If desired, I can bring treats on the walk (owner provided) for positive reinforcement if your dog is still learning how to walk and follow commands. Drop-ins: I will check the food bowl and refill if necessary, fill the water bowl with fresh water, and watch the dog when he/she is outside at all times. I can also scoop the litter box for a cat if needed. I also offer lots of pets, scratches and attention 🥰 Both: I will be careful when locking up the house before leaving, and can bring any mail on the porch indoors when I see it. I will also return any leashes or other items to wherever they were located when I arrived. Since I only offer dog walking and drop ins, I would not expect to be responsible for an extended list of tasks like one would for overnight sitting. But I am more than willing to do whatever you need for a drop in, which includes (but not limited to): feeding, watering, walking, and brushing/cleaning. I will perform these tasks in whichever way you would prefer and/or specify.
Information Cecilia L. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or if they don’t do well with other dogs or people. My complex sometimes has other dogs walking so I need to know if I need to keep them away from other dogs. Please also let me know where I can find things like their leash/harness and other items you may want me to take on our walks (treats, poop bags, toys etc.) Also where food/bowls are if you need me to feed, as well as amounts. If you need me to administer medication, please leave the meds laid out where I can find them as well as the specific dosage. Also detail where the treats are if they eat their meds with treats/food. Also if you have an older dog, please let me know if it has distance limitations for walks.
A typical day
My apartment complex has lots of sidewalks that I love to walk on by myself, so it would make it even better if I could have a dog walking with me! I would take them all around the complex on their walks so they can explore and get their exercise in. If permitted and provided by the owner, I would also take treats with me to reward them for walking well or listening to commands well. That way they can get a bit of a learning experience out of their walk too (if desired by the owner.)
