My schedule is built around pet care, not fit in around it. I'm available mornings, midday, and evenings, and can do multiple visits a day if your pet needs it. With 30 years caring for pets, including seniors and pets with special health needs, I know consistency matters, so you can count on me showing up when I say I will.

Since I'm in your home, my focus is on keeping your pet and your space safe and secure the whole time I'm there. I make sure doors, windows, and gates are secure before I leave, and I do a check for anything out that could be dangerous to your pet. I follow feeding and medication instructions exactly as given, no guesswork, and keep things as close to your pet's normal routine as possible, especially for seniors or pets with special health needs. And I'll send updates or photos during the visit so you can see how things are going while you're away.

A typical day
Every visit starts with figuring out what your pet needs in that moment. Some are ready for play and attention the second I walk in the door. Others just want a potty break and need a few minutes to settle before they're ready for company, and I let them set that pace. I pay attention and follow their lead, whether that means active play, cuddles, or just calm company so they're not alone.

Pet care experience
Over the years I've cared for friends' and family's pets, getting to know them, learning what they need, and genuinely loving every minute of it. Today I'm a cat mom to three rescues, including one with a chronic heart condition and asthma, requiring ongoing inhaler treatments and other medication. I'm also experienced caring for senior pets, and pets with special health needs or general anxiety. Every pet I care for gets spoiled like my own. Animals know when someone is comfortable around them and when someone actually cares. I take the time to get to know them, see what makes them happy, what stresses them out, whether they want to play or just want someone nearby, and I follow their lead every time.

Catherine has watched my two cats a few times while I’ve been on vacation, including when they were crazy kittens, and she’s always been great with them. She’s super reliable and actually follows all my very specific cat instructions lol, like setting out their favorite toys and treat puzzles. I always feel good knowing they’re being taken care of and getting plenty of attention while I’m away. I’d definitely recommend her!
I travel often and trust Cate completely with my cats in my home. Two need daily medication, and she makes sure they get it on time. She’s also great with their different personalities, including one who is very shy. Cate sends me pictures and updates, and I always come home to happy cats. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her, especially if your cat needs medication or a little extra care.
