Pet care experience
With over 25 years of experience in owning and caring for a variety of animals, from horses, & goats, to dogs, cats, rabbits and all our feathered friends. I offer a comprehensive and skilled approach to pet care. My expertise includes managing high-need and senior animals. I stick to your pets' schedule and any veterinary instructions closely. I'm experienced at handling both feral and tame cats, and I have significant experience traveling with pets. Lastly, my deep understanding and love for animals began with my childhood admiration for Dr. Doolittle. This extensive background makes me a reliable and compassionate choice for pet owners seeking the highest level of care for their beloved pet family members. If you have many animals or questions on pricing, shoot me a message and I’ll give you an estimate. :)

Reviews

My dog was very happy when I picked her up. I received updates and pictures of how she was doing during her stay. She was walked every day and loved it. Carol did a great job taking care of her.

Carol is wonderful. She sends photos and updates.

Carol gave excellent updates/photos. She followed our directions well. We would definitely use her again :)

(We have indoor outdoor cats, so dogs that board with us need to be comfortable around cats and not chase them.) When caring for pets, I always prioritize their comfort. This approach helps maintain their regular routines and reduces any stress associated with new environments. In our home, we have a room dedicated to pets that stay with us. The room has a large door for dogs to go into the backyard whenever they please. The backyard is fully fenced. (Please let me know if you have an escape artist so that I can be more vigilant about when he or she is in the backyard.) They also have run of the downstairs where I work during the day and we eat and hang out in the evenings. The dogs will sleep in their room in our house, I will close the dog door at night to keep them inside from 10 PM until 7 AM. For pets that require extra interaction, I am flexible and can work from your home to ensure they receive the attention and care they need throughout the day. This personalized care setup helps ensure that your pet remains happy and comfortable in their familiar surroundings. Typically I arrive at 7 PM, take care of evening feedings, some play time, water and chores. Please provide a room for me to sleep in. I don’t require any cooking or food. I will have the animals sleep in their normal beds, etc. We usually get up about 7 AM at that time we do morning feedings and whatever other tasks need to be done. I typically depart at 8 AM. If your dogs need a potty break in the middle of the day, please book an additional drop in at about 1 or 2 PM. Please provide written instructions for your pets’ feedings, medication’s, and any other information I may need.

Information Carol B. would like to know about your pet
I like to know their typical routine; their energy level, their likes and dislikes. Do they get along with other animals or they better alone? If it’s a dog, do they get along with cats?
A typical day
I really let that be dictated by the animals. If it’s an animal that likes to sit and cuddle then that’s what we do. If we need to throw a ball and burn off a little energy, then we can do that. I find at least one physical activity a day is necessary for dogs. For cats it really depends on their age and their personality.
