Hi, I’m Carmen! I’ve loved animals my whole life and have plenty of experience caring for both dogs and cats. I grew up with a dog, dog-sat my roommate’s pup, and lived with a cat for several years. I have experience dog-walking (I currently have dogs I walk each week) as well as taking care of senior dogs and administering oral medication. I’m dedicated to making sure your furry friend feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away!

I booked with her because she advertised a very low rate ($10 per day for drop‑in visits) and was conveniently located. However, weeks after the booking was confirmed, she reached out to request a higher rate—first $18, then $15 as a compromise—explaining that she hadn’t updated her pricing and hadn’t mentioned it earlier. Because this happened close to my travel dates, I felt pressured to accept the higher price to avoid risking my cat’s care while I was away. That said, she did take good care of my cat, and I appreciated the photos and updates during my trip. Future clients may want to confirm pricing upfront to avoid last‑minute changes.
Carmen is a life-long animal lover! She routinely cared for our 16 year old mini golden doodle while at home growing up and as an adult when my husband & I vacationed. Even as the daily care routine became complex with medications, a special diet and physical limitations, Carmen tended to our pet with the utmost care for her wellbeing. Sadly, our beloved pet passed away a month ago leaving time for Carmen to share her love and passion for animals with a broader community. She is also experienced with caring for cats and can adapt her skills to any animal. I highly recommend Carmen. Your pet will thank you!

Schedule
I work a full time job but work from home 3 days a week so I can be flexible with my schedule. I’m 100% available weeknights and weekends.
