I have owned cats all my life and currently Mum to 3 seniors. I have been dog and cat sitting for friends and family since the age of 15 and officially cat sitting for 3 years. I volunteer for the Moggery rehoming shelter and have volunteered at Feline Fine. I also have experience working in catteries. I have extensive experience with training feral cats as well as lived experience of feline pregnancy, delivery, kitten raising inc bottle babies as well as senior and end of life care. Although my passion is with cats I love all animals and have experience with owning rabbits, rats and ferrets. I will also work with smaller dogs. Completed a level 3 diploma in feline science.

Carly was born into a household with two cats. As she grew up she became involved in their care. As a teenager she babysat family members dogs and took them for walks. In her own home she has had a feral kitten she rescued. Then added two more cats who had a litter of kittens, one of which she kept. She also took on her brother’s rabbit. She has done holiday cover for friend’s cats. Carly has volunteered for several charities, a cattery as a teenager, and more recently “feline fine”. She has been volunteering for the “Moggery” since 2017.
I have known Carly for a long time as a fellow volunteer at a cat rescue and as a friend. She is very sensitive to the cats needs and mood, I have often asked her to spend quality time giving an individual cat one to one attention, she offers cuddles, gently smoothing or encouragement to eat. She will pick up on changes in physical health or behaviour and report any concerns. She understands the need for good hygiene when cleaning the pens and rooms. She is always happy to feed and clean. She is very devoted to her own cats and is always interested in how mine are doing. Her cats are her family, and therefore her priority.

I always say that the way to a kitties heart is their tummy. After a full belly and a clean litter box, its cuddle and/or playtime. Many cats are nervous when meeting new people so I advise an introductory meeting with the owners if possible. Every fur baby has their own personality, however I am calm and patient. I will always chat away to the animal and follow the cats routine. I will give medications, groom & bathe, wash food bowls, litter trays & water plants. Working with animals, especially cats is a passion and a privilege. Doing what I love and to build a relationship with the animals I care for. I strive to be the best carer/ friend/ playmate/ comfort giver I can be. As someone who has left my own kitties with cat sitters, I know all too well how important trust and communication is. I am willing to provide regular updates- including photos whilst you are away.

Availability
This is my only job and top priority. I also spend time volunteering at the Moggery. I can be available 7 days a week and am available and happy to spend time of an evening.
