Hi there! Currently, I'm back doing doggie daycare again. I had taken a break moving (and renting)in Cleveland where I just did dog walks, and now I am in Madison and able to live my dream again. I've had loads of experience taking care of dogs- through day care, boarding, dog walking, and behavioral training. I have extensive experience on Rover and will provide you with all the updates and care you need. I work remotely from home with lots of flexibility in my schedule, and my golden retriever Soleil loves to be social and stimulated with your pup. My husband does work from home occasionally, and his schedule shifts around week to week- so that's the only thing that I may have to discuss if you end up wanting to be a weekly daycare person. Sometimes I travel or try to keep a very calm environment for when my husband is home meaning I may only take 1 dog at a time when he's here. Generally I will take up to 2 dogs that have great chemistry and are social and play well with others. I do generally request pickup by 6 PM but can work with you. I love all animals, and my sweet golden retriever Soleil and I would love to host your pup. I work remotely from home, and Soleil is trained to ring a bell to come in and out of the house into our large yard. As such, she gets let in and out very frequently with loads of play, and so will your dog! Soleil is incredibly sweet and submissive; she gets along with everybody. I've lived with healthy, smart pups since I was little, and the past few years I have frequently taken care of my neighbors' and friends' dogs with Soleil. The dogs will always be monitored and safe. Please let me know of any allergies or dietary restrictions. My pup is trained to do many tricks, and I'd love to even work with your pup as well. I am a behavioral neuroscientist phd by training working in science comms now. I've trained pigeons to fly home to a loft from fifty miles + as well as to peck for food reward in a maze. I've also trained rats to perform various behaviors. I'd love to show you a handful of Soleil's tricks as well! I read several books on positive reinforcement prior to getting my pup, so I make sure to only use that method - no yelling, harsh tone, or punishing contact. I have lots of toys and chews, which also can be more or less provided depending on your dog's diet and risky chewing behaviors. I always am sure to monitor them to make sure nothing gets too small or swallowed that shouldn't be. I also love to reward and treat pups, so please be sure to let me know of any allergies or dietary constraints. Also, I currently am comfortable having dogs from more than one house at a time, but if you are not comfortable with that, just reach out! I will send you photo updates throughout the day unless you'd prefer otherwise. I have two cats that are very sweet. If your dog has a strong/aggressive predator instinct with cats or other small animals, please seek out an alternative sitter.
