Trusted and Compassionate Sitter
For the past 20+ years, animals have been a big part of my life. My love for both dogs and cats started by always having a dog in our home and working at a veterinary hospital for many years. I have also volunteered with the SF SPCA for the past 10 years - both as part of the Animal Assisted Therapy program and trained as a dog walker. I decided to join Rover when my beloved Golden Retriever passed away as I missed having a dog around. My husband and I are also active with Guide Dogs for the Blind and are currently raising a puppy for the program. This means I am only available for house sitting (in your home), drop in visits or to take your pups on a walk. I work from home several days a week, so when I'm housesitting, I can provide care and attention during the day as well.

For housesitting and drop ins, I make sure to follow your guidance - for example, if you say they aren't allowed on your furniture, I won't let them talk me into it :-)

Caren is such a great cat sitter - I can’t speak highly enough! Her updates are great and my kitty always looked so happy to see her in the photos. She even taught my cat a new favorite game that she’s been eager to play since I’ve been back.

Caren is an awesome sitter! When we met she asked a lot of questions to make sure she knew how to keep my cat, Puppy, happy and healthy. She clearly cares a lot about animals and was flexible with visit times to make sure Puppy’s routines weren’t too disrupted while I was away. She also watched her over the 4th of July - a pretty stressful time for a kitty – and despite all the noise, Puppy seems to have had a good time. Caren sent detailed updates and lots of photos so I knew Puppy was in good hands. Thanks again!

Schedule
I make sure to give dogs and cats my full attention when I am sitting or caring for them - for this reason, I keep my check ins and housesitting commitments limited so that I can focus on giving them the care they need.
