Pet care experience
I’ve always loved looking after pets for neighbors, family, friends and roommates. I’ve lived with both cats and dogs, and really love having pets around for exercise, bonding, and fun but don’t currently feel ready to commit to a pet long term so I love getting animal time through rover. I traveled around working on homesteads & small farms for about 2 years and in that time took care of rabbits, ducks, chickens, some very sweet turkey hens, sheep, goats, even a pair of livestock guardian llamas. I’m very attentive to animal health and happiness, I’m happy to slow down and take whatever time a senior pet needs just as well as run/play all the energy out of an active puppy or kitten. I have some experience sitting pets with injuries, dietary needs, and medication requirements and am happy to discuss what care will look like in these situations.

Cami will make an excellent dog sitter. As a dog sitter myself, I know how much effort goes into making someone's best friend feel at home while they are away. Camille is patient, responsible, and most importantly deeply cares for those around her whether that be humans, dogs, or just about anything else. Cami has acquired loads of experience caring for her family dog over the past 10+ years and I'm sure will provide the same love and attention to your special friends when they stay over.

I have known Camille and her family since before she was born. Wonderful, caring, sensitive people. Camille has spend spent weeks in my home caring for my precious dog- a senior Chihuahua mix rescue now 14 years old. Camille is a loving, sensitive person with lots of common sense and empathy. She would be my choice for in home, walking about, or comfort care for any K-9 .

I will respect your home like my own and alert you to any issues I find. I will be in communication often about your pet and responsive to anything that comes up with them or with you!

Please let me know any special needs your pet may have or unusual behavior, specific rules etc that I should be aware of. Are there places in your home your pet or pets should not be? Toys they are and aren’t allowed to play with? A cat next door they like to chase? Does your pet have ongoing injuries or illnesses?
A typical day
I love to walk, hike and run and would probably take your dog to the closest park to you or drive them to buffalo park or observatory Mesa for a longer adventure if that’s okay! Daily walks in the neighborhood are a given and if there’s an open space nearby for fetch or to run around I’ll usually get into a walk routine around that. For cats if they are social I am more than happy to provide pets, a lap to sit on while I work on my laptop or read, and some play time with toys!

Availability
I currently work 30hrs/week in downtown flagstaff with a lot of opportunities for remote work and a flexible schedule. I should be able to drop in on pets at least 3x a day for 30 min at my busiest, and can likely hang out with them for hours while I work remotely if I am able to use wifi. A lot of my free time is spent outside hiking, running, climbing etc. so if I can safely bring your dog with me on any of these adventures it’s very easy to work in outdoor time and exercise for them! I’m always willing to do neighborhood walks too.
