Pet care experience
I am a recent Duke alum who is now living in Durham! I’ve cared for pets my entire life, including puppies and a senior dog who was blind and deaf. I left my dog, Oliver, at home when I moved here for college, and now take every opportunity to spend time with cats and dogs. I have experience with breeds of all sizes—from Chihuahuas to Boxers. I’m comfortable feeding, walking, bathing, etc. I’ve also cared for cats and have owned bearded dragons and rats, so I’m comfortable with a wide variety of animals.

Calista was a fantastic dog-sitter! She showed up right on time, kept our dog Elsa company all day long, and sent some nice update pics throughout her he day. I would definitely use her again.
Calista helped take care of my young cat while I was away for a couple of months in the summer! My cat can be a little feisty, so he requires someone with patience. I'm so grateful Calista was able to provide him with great care through his extended stay. She regularly sent me updates and photos and was very communicative during the whole stay. Will be booking her services again when I need someone to look after my cat!

A typical day
I will adapt to your dogs normal routine! Ive taken care of dogs with many different lifestyles. I am happy to spend time with a more relaxed dog, taking them out for a quick pee break and then giving them lots of love and also love an energetic dog that I will take for long walks!

Availability
I work full-time as a medical assistant, so I’m out during the day, but I’m happy to stop by morning and evening to care for your pet. I can provide drop-in visits with as late as same-day notice, walks, and plenty of company because I am usually at home when not at work. I’m also available for house-sitting on weekdays and weekends.
