Registered Vet Tech with huge yard!
Pet care experience
Hi my name is Brook and I am a registered veterinary technician. I have loved animals all my life and decided to turn it into a career by becoming a vet tech. I started pet sitting for my family and friends in college and loved it. I love being a vet tech but decided to take a break from working full time to raise my kids. Pet sitting allows me to still spend time with animals without having to go into the office 40 hours a week. Having a medical background helps pet owners feel comfortable with me knowing I can give medications or recognize illness while the are with me. It also allows me to to be able to take care of pets with special needs that some other pet sitters might not be able to do. I like to keep dogs in their normal routine while they are with me. That means treating them like part of the family just like they are at their house. I have two rescue dogs of my own and they love new friends! But I can keep them separated if need be. Basically I want your pet to feel loved just like at home and can provide pretty much anything they need to make them feel happy, safe, and secure while you are away.

Thank you so much for taking great care of our doggy!

This was my first time using Rover for my own dogs, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! I felt completely at ease leaving my pups with Brook. She sent daily updates with photos, and it was so nice to see how comfortable they were while there. My dogs loved being around her and her family. I will definitely be booking with her again!

Brook was fantastic with Stella and Louie, each with their own unique personality. Especially with Louie, who is sometimes scared with new people, she made the introduction so easy! She also kept us well-informed with frequent photo updates and adorable videos of her kids playing fetch with the pups. This was the longest we’d ever been away from our dogs, but we felt completely at ease knowing they were in Brook’s care. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!

Brook was an absolute lifesaver for my dog and me! From our first introduction, it was clear she genuinely cares about animals. She took the time to get to know my dog’s personality, routines, and even his little quirks. While I was away, Brook sent sweet updates and adorable pictures that made me smile and feel totally at ease. My dog came home happy, relaxed, and full of energy—he obviously had a blast with her! If you want someone who treats your dog like family, Brook is the best choice out there!

I have a fenced in back yard for your fur babies to enjoy. Caring for your pets will vary based on their needs but most of the time they are in our home just like our dogs. Because I have kids, I do have a few extra steps to help keep them safe during feeding times, when we leave the home, etc.

Information Brook M. would like to know about your pet
When I have a dog in my care I basically like to know everything about your pet. I want to know medical history, any medications, any likes and dislikes, feeding schedule, personal quirks, etc. Everything helps to better understand what your pet needs to feel at home. Being a vet tech, I also like to know what your wishes are in case of an emergency.
A typical day
I like to keep your pet in their normal routine as much as possible. That means if they stay in a crate during the day that is what I do. If they stay out in the house, that's what I do. If they are fed once, twice, or three times a day, that is what I do. If they sleep in the bedroom with you, then they sleep in the bedroom with me. You get the point. :)

Availability
I am mostly a stay at home mom so I have a ton of flexibility. I pick up shifts at my hospital 1-2 times per month, but am rarely gone from home longer than 2-4 hours at a time. A typical day with my dogs is feed and potty breaks first thing in the morning, out to potty every few hours or whenever they go to the door, feed again and couple more potty breaks in the evenings.
