I recently was laid off, and so my schedule is very flexible! I have a dog of my own, so I’m happy to combine walks if your dog wants/needs company or a dog to look to for guidance, or we can keep everyone separate if there’s any reactivity or things we’re working through.

I live right on the beach in the Outer Richmond, so Golden Gate Park and Ocean Beach are my backyard! I usually do a 1.5-2h walk or adventure with my dog daily, potty breaks every 3-4 hours, structured play time, and structured down time. In your home, I will follow all instructions you provide. I have experience in training - whether that be obedience or deeper behavioral (e.g. reactivity, fears, etc) I’m happy to help however I can.

Definitely let me know if your pup has any behavioral things you’re working on, any special needs they may have, or just their favorite treat so I can bring it when I meet them! Meeting new people can be a process for some dogs, so I want to be sure to meet them where they’re at.

I’d love to learn more about your pet and what you think they need! My approach is usually to see what the dog’s temperament is - maybe they’re super energetic or frantic, but it’s not ideal. So I can work with your dog on getting comfortable being calm! In other situations, I’m happy to take your pups for a long walk, a run, to play with their favorite toys, do scent work, get more comfortable in the crate… I’m down to do whatever would make it the best day for both you and your dog!

I’m an active dog lover with 15+ years of experience fostering and training dogs, including those with behavioral challenges. Growing up with big dogs and having one of my own now, I have a soft spot for them. But I’m comfortable with all sizes, ages, and temperaments. I’ve cared for dogs that need medication, or have special needs as well. Overall, I’m patient, caring, and will follow your instructions to ensure you feel comfortable with your fur baby under my care, and that your pet feels safe and supported while you're away. For dog walks and drop-in visits, I'm available for anyone in the SF area. For house-sitting, you can ignore the availability radius on my profile. I'm happy to drive outside of the city to house & dog sit for you! Just note that my dog, Hop, will need to come with me. He is a dog that respects other pups’ boundaries, can chill on his place mat or crate or play with your dog if they want to. I’m comfortable enforcing a crate and rotate routine as well in case your dog is reactive, etc. so they never interact with each other. I am also Red Cross Dog & Cat CPR certified (see certificate in "photos")

Brett is an amazing communicator and took great care when walking our senior dog. It gave us such peace of mind to receive her timely and detailed updates while we were away!
Brett is one of the most attentive, caring, and thoughtful pet sitters out there. She (and her pup Hop!) took amazing care of my anxious pup, Duncan, making him quickly feel at ease in just 30 mins - a new record for him to warm up when I’m gone! Brett shared frequent updates and set up a shared photo album to post photos and videos throughout their time together so I could check in whenever was convenient. She helped clean up after he had a tummy ache and took great care of my apartment as well. Brett is 15/10 and easily someone I trust the most with Duncan’s care.
Brett took care of our three dogs (13 yr Lab, 4 1/2 yr Terrier, and 2 yr Border Collie) plus house and was awesome! She was super communicative throughout — from the initial meet and greet to booking to while we were away — and sent updates about each of the dogs (great pics and videos). With three dogs (all different ages and energy levels) care can be challenging but Brett handled it like a pro and we will absolutely book with her again!
Brett was absolutely incredible. I was really nervous leaving my pup this weekend because she was having an allergic reaction and her little tummy was all broken out. Brett literally went above and beyond by sharing a PDF file of how she helped her own pitbull clear up his allergies, she helped me order a food allergy test (which I didn’t even know was a thing for dogs) plus she helped me find non toxic solutions to help remedy the reaction real time. And if that wasn’t enough, Brett created a shared photo album that she continually updated with her and Basil’s adventures. Couldn’t be more happy with my experience- Brett is 10/10 someone I would recommend to care for your space and your animal! It’s clear that my dog Basil is still missing her! 💕
