I had a huge passion in caring for dogs since I was in middle school. I would always stop at my nearest animal shelter to visit all the animals and pet them. I had a goal to be able to become a volunteer at the shelter and I was told I had to be at least 16 so once I hit 16 I went back to the shelter and was finally able to apply. I’ve been trained to handle and care for all sorts of dogs in sizes and breeds. I would walk them, feed them, spent time with them and had high level training with the volunteer supervisor. I volunteered for a couple years and then I went off to college and could no longer help. But seeing my time there I tried to make a difference in their life and show the animals as much love as I possible could.
