Hi there, I'm Blair - a Brooklyn-based corporate girlie who is excited to care for your dogs and cats! I grew up with Rottweilers my entire life, so big, strong, misunderstood dogs have always felt like home to me. Five years ago I adopted my own dog, Rocket, at 8 weeks old. He's now a 60-pound handful with major reactivity, which means I've learned patience, calm energy, and how to read a dog's stress signals before they escalate. That experience has made me a better, more attentive sitter for every dog, not just the tricky ones. Over the years I've pet sat for many friends' dogs, including an elderly dog who needed extra gentleness, a slower pace, and a lot of attention to comfort. Whether your dog is a easygoing senior, a high-energy young pup, or something in between, I'll treat them like my own. I'm currently making a career shift to spend more time doing what I actually love -being outside, staying active, and caring for animals, and I'm excited to bring that energy (and Rottweiler-honed patience) to your dog or cat.

I follow your instructions closely and stick to your pet's existing schedule, rather than trying to impose my own routine. Pets do best with consistency, especially when their person is away, so I treat the feeding times, walk routines, medication schedules, and any quirks or preferences you share with me as the plan. In your home, I respect your space and your pet's environment, keeping things exactly as you left them and making sure doors, gates, and anything else are secure. Whether it's a dog walk, a drop-in visit, or an overnight stay, I check in with clear updates and photos so you're never left wondering how things are going. For dogs, that also means paying attention to leash habits, energy levels, and any reactivity or triggers you flag ahead of time. For cats, it means respecting their pace and not forcing interaction if they'd rather observe from a distance first. At the core, my job is to make your absence as unnoticeable as possible for your pet - same routine, same comfort, just with me filling in.

Blair has been taking care of my 2 cats for years, and I can’t express how appreciative I am to have found such a reliable, communicative, and kind petsitter in the neighborhood! In addition to refilling the feeders, cleaning the litter boxes, and playing with the cats, Blair always sends so many cute pictures and videos of them when she visits. It makes me feel better knowing that they are being so well taken care of when I am away. When one of my cats learned how to open the bedroom doors in my apartment, Blair came over much earlier in the day than scheduled to make sure the cats were ok and staying out of trouble. Any time the cats make a mess, whether it is knocking pillows off the couch or throwing up on the carpet, Blair always tidies up the apartment before I get back. Blair has expertly dealt with my cats’ health (and behavioral) issues over the years, and she also has extensive experience with dogs. She is definitely well-versed in pet care, regardless of the animal, breed, or temperament. My very standoffish cats are obsessed with Blair, so I am confident that she can connect with any furry friend, no matter how stubborn!

Schedule
I work full-time Monday through Friday, but I have a flexible setup that works well for pet care. I'm fully remote on Mondays and Fridays, which means I'm home and available throughout the day for check-ins, walks, or drop-in visits. On Tuesday through Thursday, when I'm in the office, my best availability is mornings before work and evenings after — so early walks, feeding, or playtime fit easily into my routine. Weekends I'm wide open and happy to take on longer visits, extended walks, or overnight stays. Pet care isn't something I'm squeezing into a packed schedule. It's something I've built time around because I genuinely want to be outside and active with animals as part of my week.
