I've been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. My specialty is in training dogs -- I spent about 6 years as a puppy-raiser for Guide Dogs of America, which entails training, socializing, and loving a young pup until they are about 1.5 years old and pass their test to start more intensive training at a guide dog school. Since then, I've trained my own dogs as well as those of friends and family, and have learned many, many tricks of the trade and dealt with quite the range of ages, breeds, and temperaments :) I've also been lucky to have lots of pet-sitting opportunities and really enjoy getting to know and love so many animals. I make it a special point to include some training with every job, as it makes each owner super happy (and my life easier too!). I really love cats as well and while I have not explored much in the training arena with them (though I've seen it done!), I love to snuggle and play -- or give space to -- these excellent furry friends.
