Hi, I'm Berkeley (: animals have always been a part of my life and my heart. Growing up taking care of a variety of pets, I naturally followed a path into veterinary medicine. I have over 7 years of veterinary experience, including caring for senior pets and those with special medical needs. I've had the joy of walking, boarding, and housesitting for veterinary clients and doctors/colleagues alike, and of course I've always had dogs and cats of my own! Whether your pet is shy, spunky, young, old, or somewhere in between, I can connect with each animal's unique personality and make them feel safe, loved, and right at home. I treat your furry best friend like my own, because they all deserve the best love ❤️

Berkeley did a fantastic job watching my dog and cat. She sent updates regularly, was super considerate of the house and the animals barely realized we were back they were so content. Would absolutely use again!!
Berkeley is a wonderful pet sitter and has extensive knowledge of 7+ years of working at a veterinary clinic. She takes her time getting to know your pets, their needs, and what the pet parents goals are. I always feel at ease when she’s watching my pets knowing that they’re in good care and being loved while I’m away! Berkeley is kind and always willing to take the extra steps to make sure your fur babies are happy and comfortable.
Berkeley would be an excellent caretaker, she is mindful of her body language when approaching pets that are unfamiliar to her and patient when it comes to introducing herself. She is respectful of boundaries to earn and maintain trust, very passionate about proper treatment of animals and extremely knowledgeable in regards of the safety and wellbeing of cats and dogs. I have a very skittish Borzoi who takes awhile to warm up to strangers, Berkeley understood the introduction process is something that can't be rushed and respected her distance and found herself very comfortable around each other a lot sooner than what I expected.

Please write down a detailed schedule and notes you’d like me to follow to ensure your pet continues on their same routine and keep their stress at a minimum (: I’ll appreciate this and I know they will too! I’m more than happy to schedule any meet & greet’s ahead of time, just let me know when you book! I’m excited to meet your baby!
A typical day
Keeping dogs and cats alike mentally stimulated is important. If your dog is active/high energy, playing ball or long extended walks will be on our schedule for the day. If you have a specific activity your dog loves, let me know and we’ll get it done! Older or more laid back kind of dog? Sniff & find treat games are always my go to (as long as there’s no food allergies and their food motivated), soft tosses with a ball can get those joints moving and get some exercise for the day too. For cats, the wands tend to be my best bet for toys and it sure gets them moving! If you don’t have any at your home, let me know and I will bring my own over! Some cats aren’t into that sort of thing, that’s okay! Some are food motivated enough to do sniff & find treat games too. Nevertheless, good ol’ attention and love works great too. Please specify if your cat doesn’t like to be pet in certain areas or if they’d prefer to just be left alone, we all get moody and shy sometimes I get it ;)

Availability
I have the privilege of creating my own work schedule, so I am available 7 days a week and anytime throughout the day/night. I delegate the majority of my time to be with your pet. However, because I have my own furry friends to care for, I won't be able to stay with your pet 24/7 or overnight as my animals will need potty breaks & feeding time as well (unless your pet is staying in my home, then they all get undivided attention!)
