Animals have always been a big part of my life — and honestly, my favorite part. Whether it’s at a party or just out and about, you’ll usually find me hanging out with the cats and dogs! I’ve had the joy of working with animals in many different settings over the years. I spent 7 years volunteering with a wildlife rescue organization, gaining hands-on experience caring for animals with a wide range of needs. I currently volunteer at Friends of the Animals Shelter, where I help care for dogs and cats of all sizes, ages, and personalities. From energetic puppies to wise senior dogs, cuddly lap cats to independent and finicky felines — I’ve cared for them all. I know that every pet is unique, and I take the time to understand their preferences, quirks, and routines to ensure they feel safe, loved, and happy while you're away.

Benjamin is an amazing petsitter. When he came over the first time, I really appreciated how professional he was, and the rapport he developed quickly with my 3 dogs. He took notes and understood how important the information was to each dog, even though some of them were kind of rediculous, such as, which dog food bowl each ate out of, where in the house I put the bowls, how to play with them, which leash belongs to each dog... He came over again before I left on my trip and again, I just felt really good about his ability to care for my 3 dogs. When I was on my trip he sent me alot of pictures every day and updates on how things were going. I have a feeling he took better care of them than I do. I am sure they miss him. I definitely recommend him and I hope to have him petsit for me again for my upcoming trips!
I couldn’t be happier with the care Benjamin provided for my pet while I was away. He was reliable, communicative, and great with her. My dog was happy, relaxed, and well cared for when I got back. It gave me peace of mind knowing my dog was in such loving and capable hands. Highly recommend!!
Benjamin has been a testament to good pet care! On time, cleans up, personable and great with kids. He truly cares for animals and their welfare and your space. Will be hiring again next month on another family trip. This time a week! I have no worries!

Things like their daily routine, energy level, favorite activities, and any quirks or triggers are super helpful. Does your dog pull on leash? Are they nervous around other animals or people? Do they love fetch but hate baths? I want to know it all! For cats, I’d love to know their comfort level with strangers, where they like to hide or nap, and whether they enjoy playtime or prefer calm companionship. Please also let me know about any medical needs, allergies, feeding instructions, or behavioral notes — anything that helps me keep your pet happy, safe, and stress-free while you're away. The more I know, the more I can tailor my care to match their unique personality and needs.
A typical day
Every day with your pet is built around their unique personality, needs, and comfort level — because no two pets are the same! For high-energy pups, we’ll start the day with a nice walk or a good play session to get those wiggles out. Think fetch, tug-of-war, or a little backyard zoomie time! For older or more relaxed dogs, we’ll take things at their pace — gentle strolls, lots of sniff breaks, and plenty of cozy rest time with some extra ear scratches. Throughout the day, I make sure all pets get the right mix of stimulation and downtime. That might mean puzzle toys or enrichment games to keep their minds active, or just hanging out in a sunny spot watching the world go by. If I’m caring for cats, I always follow their lead. Some prefer interactive play with toys and wand games, while others just want a comfy lap and a quiet companion. For shy or independent cats, I give them space and time to feel safe while gently earning their trust. Feeding, medication (if needed), and any routine care are always done on schedule and with lots of patience and love. Whether your pet wants to play, snuggle, nap, or explore, I create a day that’s engaging, comforting, and tailored just for them.

My schedule is designed with your pet’s needs in mind! Outside of a few early morning hours at the bakery and a couple of flexible shifts volunteering at the shelter each week, my schedule is open to help keep you pet on their scheduled routine. Whether it’s a quick drop-in to burn off some afternoon wiggles or providing a calm, loving presence for a senior companion, I’m happy to accommodate whatever care your pet needs.
