Retired Dog Mum -1:1 home from home cuddles & care
I’m a lifelong dog lover and owner with 10+ years of hands-on experience with my beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Before that, I always helped in looking after our family’s working dogs — so caring for dogs has really been a part of my life from every angle. Since losing my little Cavalier, I’ve been helping my daughter with her dog bookings (she lives next door!) and I’ve absolutely caught the bug — I’ve realised how much I truly need dogs in my daily life again. I’m now retired, so your dog will get calm company, attention, and time — not squeezed in around a job. I spend most of my days pottering in the garden, walking, and giving cuddles. I live in a bungalow, so everything is on one level and dogs can be with me at all times — I’m more than happy for dogs to sleep in my bedroom if that’s what they’re used to at home. I am available 7 days a week and can offer a quiet home from home environment with all day company. Happy to look after dogs on the smaller side, go for gentle walks and they have a secure garden to potter with me. I have no stairs so happy to take less able, elderly dogs. I consider myself calm, patient and a dog lover and look forward to welcoming your dog to my home.

I can't give enough stars for Barbara. My dog loves her and isn't always that keen to leave!!! I can't recommend Barbara enough
Another fantastic stay! Flossy loves her 'mini breaks' with Barbara and we get total peace of mind.
Barbara is a really lovely lady and she looked after our precious loving but very anxious border terrier with lots of love and attention whilst we were away. We've never been able to find anybody reliable enough that calms him when we go away so we have had to miss some family holidays as we were so concerned how he would be, but we didn't have to worry with Barbara, he settled in straight away like it was his second home! I wouldn't want him to go anywhere else for a little holiday away from home because I know he will have lots of cuddles, care and attention. Thank you Barbara x
Another great stay for Barney with Barbara. We truly can't believe how lucky we have been to find her. Our dog is very anxious but he loves it there and comes home more chilled than when he went. I can't recommend Barbara enough

Schedule
I am retired and home full time to be able to care for your dog 24/7. I live in a quiet environment and enjoy pottering in the garden and walks around our quiet village and countryside.

I have a secure fenced in medium sized back garden and live in a bungalow that is safe for older and less able dogs to roam safely.
A typical day
I am retired so my day can look however the dogs want it to look. If that’s a day on the sofa having cuddles or a a day throwing a ball around the garden and going for walks then I will shape my day around the dogs.
