Hi my name is Aya I live in downtown Hood River in my own home with a fenced back yard. My boyfriend of 3 years and friend for over a decade lives with me but is often gone for work. Looking to help others while enjoying having a furry friend to keep me company. My little old man dog Vader passed away few years ago, he was almost 15. Had him since he was a pup and fostered many dogs at the local dog shelter in the past. My boyfriend and I are both helicopter pilots, fire fight in the summers and have most of the winters off. Majority of my time is spent at home, out in the garden or walking around the neighborhood. Come spring work starts to get busy. Rest assure if I’m watching your furry family member I will be home majority of every day working on the house being craft or out in the garden. Dog walks in my neighborhood are very safe and there’s a trail close to my house we can walk to.

Aya is great with my young XL dog, Smokey. She watches him in her home and for the 3-4 days he's there, she loves him like her own. Multiple long walks a day, treats, naps on the couch and quality time with Bruno. I appreciate the daily messages with pics and updates. Smokey hated the one time I boarded him in town at a pet camp. He barked and was stressed out the entire time was the report I got when I picked him up. He's comfortable with Aya and knows her home is a safe. She's the only person I trust to watch my dog.
Aya was amazing! From their first meeting you could tell that Aya understood our dog Kesey perfectly - her curiosity, her spirit, her love to snuggle. Despite it raining for much of K's stay with Aya, she got lots of walks, lots of play, and even a visit to the treat aisle of the local pet store. Top marks!
Aya took care of Smokey, my 9 month old Great Dane/ Mastiff mix. I was nervous to leave him. He’s 120 lbs of puppy and can get anxious when I’m away. But Aya took such great care of him! She has experience with big dogs and that was important to me. He got 2-3 long walks a day, snuggly naps, treats and the most tennis balls he’s ever seen. She sent me lots of videos and pictures. I could see he was having fun and felt safe with her. It was easy to tell she was enjoying his personality and getting a kick out of the Dane things he does. Aya also respected how Smokey is being trained and stayed consistent. I’m really happy we’ve found Aya. It’s nice to have someone you trust available. This was way better than boarding him somewhere. Lastly, I like Aya! She’s a positive and lovely person to talk to. 👍👍 Two thumbs up and ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Aya is truly experienced and knows what it takes to make my boy feel at home so he forgets all about his separation anxiety. All the photos I got were of him thoroughly enjoying himself with the treats, toys, walks and lounging on the couch. I couldn't ask for more when I trust him with someone else. 10/10 recommend Aya and will be going to her from now on.
Our pup had an awesome stay with Aya! He went on errands and even was treated to a special trip to a local boutique pet shop for treats. He was very relaxed when we picked him up, so we know he had a great day. Aya took great care of him and we definitely recommend her services!
Aya took such good care of our cavapoo, Gia. Overnight stay and I highly recommend her, our new Hood River dog whisperer! THANK YOU AYA!

Dates de la garde
I am “on call” for 2 weeks every two weeks until fire season starts AND I will have annual training at some point in Feb. which is why I only have openings for one week or so at a time.

I have a fenced yard with a dog door that can be closed if I leave but I usually keep it closed when I watch new dogs and definitely ones that can jump fences. My neighboorhood is very safe and I have security cameras around the perimeter and well as an alarm system.
Une journée type
Cuddles treats nice walks around the neighborhood and if it’s not too muddy Indian Creek Trailhead is very close. Relaxing with me at home while enjoying all the dog toys bones and chews I have is a special bin. Gorge Dog store is a short walk away which is always a fun little trip too!
