Pet care experience
I’ve been taking care of pets since adopting my very first guinea pig at nine years old. I started getting really involved with pet care after my family moved to an apartment building with lots of dog owners and adopted a dog and cat when I was in high school. We adopted my dog, Shadow, at six months old and I worked on basic commands with him and potty training. I have also volunteered at multiple animal shelters starting in high school and now continuing at the local cat shelter in the town where I go to college. Through all of this, I have experience taking care of heavily medicated dogs and cats.

Ava was great with Sally! Sally warmed right up despite sometimes being hesitant with new people.
So friendly and easy to communicate with! My dog, who is usually anxious, seemed to have a very easy time with her. An all star.

Ava and I have worked together at an animal shelter for stray cats where we both go to school. She is gentle with the animals and is a real friend to pets! She also has an excitable and friendly dog named Shadow and a shy cat named Moxie, both of whom I’ve met.

I love getting to know each pet’s preferences and routine! Whether it’s exploring on long walks or relaxing with pets and snuggles, I always love to figure out what activities are going to be most fun for each individual pet and their unique personality.

Availability
I’m home for the summer from college, so my hours are super flexible! My dog has gone through a lot of walking schedules since we first adopted him, so I’m used to early mornings and late nights for pup time.
